This is the classic romanticizing of toxicity, it is not portrait as people with issues but going all the way any way as we could see in other stories like Burnout syndrome, To my shore, etc.

It's like they think this is actually romantic and sweet when it's not, clearly a juvenile and naive point of view, and therefore wrong and irresponsible.

Since William and Izaya left the show, it got more interesting. Now I do not flash forward any piece of it. I do kot think the whole team conversations were dull before, but the production's decision to focus on those two long future planning dialogs with zero romance prevent us from seeing them.
