There are massive plot holes in episode 3 and 4. Why would the person holding the ledger be in Korea in the first place? He should be in Japan, with the ledger stored in a secret place. Nobody walks around with a ledger stored in a hotel’s safe, especially when it is about 70 billion korean won.

Secondly, how is it possible that a 4-star general unable to keep a 2-star general in check and is unaware of his actions? Surely he is not that dumb to not spy on his opponents.

The Baek Gi Tae was also not arrested by JIH alongside Cheon Seok Jung. I get that that is how the script writers want it to be, but his impending downfall see too unbelievable.

The timer for the bomb is also set way too long at 20 mins. If Baek Gi Tae can activate the timer remotely, surely he can detonate the bomb at will. Even if he cannot, setting it to 1 second would make it is instantaneous. He would have succeeded that way. The bomb is conveniently setup in a way that it cannot be stopped remotely, so that the variable of his brother being there can be inserted as a plot tension.

I agree. There are too few characters and the characters are too thin. Netflix dramas tend to have leads who do not have parents or friends because it saves money. The drama drags and is story heavy. Too many plot holes. Who in the right mind would run out of his home without his identity card?

This is unwarranted and the netizens do not have evidence of it at all. The show was well executed - no fillers, each episode is concise, minor characters have their own development as well. The props, background, cinematography and shots are well done. Lightning is good too. The best is the acting, especially by the female lead. Her emotional scenes are well done, and there's enough chemistry for you to root for the leads. I am at the halfway mark and I am hooked. It is a breath of fresh air amidst all the rom-com and fantasy dramas with no plot except the romance between the leads.

Their interaction then wasn’t too bad but the stupid thing is the male lead spent too many scenes with Dorami. They only get together in episode 11, and then ridiculously broke up. Why break up instead of just doing a long distance when you know you are going to get attacked again?

I think the emotional range of the actors are very limited, maybe in part due to the character script. I felt like the male lead only displayed anger and happiness. The female lead only has three emotions - happy, sad and embarrassed. They were not together much, so the relationship was not sweet, that I can understand. I know the male lead's acting is more restrained, but I felt this was not his best work.

Good that you liked it. See if you like the ending at episode 12. I didn't. It's really an idol drama that's cast driven than plot driven.

If you reach episode 6, I genuinely think you should consider dropping it. I nearly did at episode 6 and even when I reached 11, I still felt like dropping it.

There is a plot twist, but I feel it is not done well because both male leads fades in the background and it does not add flesh to the story, partly because the drama is actor driven rather than plot driven by that point.

By then the only motivation keeping the audience hooked is purely the wanting to know how the drama will end. This stretches all the way to episode 11-12.

The writers have used this same trope over and over again. It’s fine if the drama is about that in the first place, but the title of the drama and how the trailers advertised the drama is like is way misleading. mid drama and the plot suddenly does a fender bender to explore her trauma. That’s quite a pathetic setup.

Females are quirky, loud and intrusive while males are always jerks I. their speech but kind in their actions. The females are always the lovesick ones.

Starts off well, then drags in the middle and meanders off to a different plot. The chemistry between the leads are average. Acting is decent but nothing to rave about. It’s the later half that pulls the drama down. Almost all ML and FLs have childhood trauma. This trope is so overused. Rinse and repeat. The screen time of support cast is very nonexistent, so there’s nothing much to watch except slow-mo fillers mid drama. if you can push through to the end maybe it will be better but definitely does not live up to the hype, neither is the drama like what the trailers purport it to be.

No official English streaming platform yet and no fan subs either. Usually there will be at least fan subs but I think the pirated streamers are letting AI do the job and it’s badly done. Whenever the actors say “ai” it’s translated as “child”.

I used to have that issue but not anymore as Kim Hye Yoon got more exposure. Park Ju Hyun has a sharper and more protruding chin, taller, and rougher skin. KHY has a wider face, better and fairer complexion.

The auto translated English subs are not very understandable. Are there any official English subs? It seems like this drama is not released internationally.

It is promoted heavily that IU and Park Bo Gum were the main cast. I wonder how the drama would have been if they just continued acting all the way, and their children were played by different actors. I am sad that Park Bo Gum had so little screen time because he ambodied the handsome, atheletic, but simple Gwan Sik so well.

Moon So Ri lost the spunkiness IU had, and become too softhearted, and Park Hae Joon lost the "steelheartedness" and charisma Park Bo Gum had and became a little naggy.

They acted well but somehow were a little less convincing as the middle age versions of Ae Sun and Gwan Sik.
