I can't speak for his other roles but for this specific OffGun project of 2023, Gun had actually specifically requested this kind of lighthearted campy comedy series. If I remember correctly, they shaped the show around/with that request and concept. Unfortunately I don't quite see that comedic take in this new trailer? Did they scrap that?
I do however agree that his acting abilities deserve to be showcased with some really well written (and executed) roles. Preferably with Off lol.
Huh. That was, unfortunately disappointing. It looked and felt like a rough draft to me; not like a project that was sitting completely finished, collecting dust for a month and a half. It felt unfinished, like we weren't supposed to see it yet..
What is it with gmm shows missing (or completely missing) the mark with their series that had promising pilot trailers? Was this a new curse for the last two quarters of 2023?? Because I definitely liked the CC's pilot trailer a whole lot better. Idk I hope I'm wrong and am judging this too fast! I'll still be sticking around and giving this one a fair chance- because there's our beloved OffGun, Neo, Lookjun and a whole lot to like. However, I hate that I'm finding myself hoping that this is just a shorter 8-10ep series. We'll see how the actually series goes!

I'm thinking little since there have been rumors of a NightPhojai wedding and both Mark and Namtan have several sponsored events scheduled together. Mark had also said that he'd pranked Sea by tricking him into thinking that he (Mark) was catching feelings for Namtan for real; so I guess that checks out. Plus just imo from the promotional stuff, it seems like they're trying to push/hint at NightPhojai and AugustGee pairings? Idk. However, I will still be holding onto the tiniest piece of hope that we'll get NamtanFilm's characters get together...

As of last week, Leng had said in an interview that they aren't currently doing anything or any workshops for Kidnap. Nothing besides just Ohm and him reading lines together. But with how many events they're having scheduled now, I hope that that changes and that we get some good news🤞🏻🤞🏻
