I ran into Neo when I visited the GMMTV studio and was too shy to ask for a photo, but he is so cute! He needs better roles, seriously.

Welcome to 2026, where toxic themes are understood to be themes and not an altar upon which to build your moral…
I'm going to be embarrassed for you, since clearly you lack the self-awareness required to realize you're humiliating yourself in public.

Do you think every writer of murder mysteries is out committing murder? Do you think every writer of supernatural…
So instead of speculating about the overwhelmingly predominantly male managers, producers, execs & artists, who time and time again have been accused of actual CRIMES, you choose to cast aspersions about the female author for *checks notes* 'dangerous thoughts'.

You're not going to argue because you have no argument. You made a BS comment about an innocent woman, & I responded to call it out as BS, as is my right. Argue or don't, I'm not going to just scroll past and watch an artist be libeled.

You clearly do not understand what 'splitting hairs' means when you claim the author has a 'dangerous obsession with sexual assault' but seem to think that's somehow different from claiming Stephen King has a 'dangerous obsession with murder' when he has written way more messed up stuff, and a massively higher number of novels full of messed up stuff, than this author.

Define 'dangerous'? Are you claiming that the existence of fiction that involves taboo subjects is dangerous? Or that someone who writes such fiction in a completely safe and legal way is dangerous? I'm sure someone in the People's Republic of China's morality & censorship department would love to hire you.

I was interested in seeing more of the cast from "Don't be too emotional", but if this writer is known…
Do you think every writer of murder mysteries is out committing murder? Do you think every writer of supernatural fiction is secretly a vampire? It's almost as if taboo subjects are wildly popular entertainment and writers are artists whose goal is to entertain people. Shocking, except not.

the frontal lobe isn’t fully developed until at LEAST your mid twenties…you want him to wait until he’s…
There's a difference between something being ALLOWED and something being perfectly acceptable; just because he's allowed to play the role of a nearly-40 year old man experiencing things a nearly-40 year old man might experience, doesn't mean that I as a viewer have to be perfectly comfortable with it. He did a good job, no one broke any rules or laws, I just know it's uncomfortable.

Person Shu Yuan
His characterization skills are insane, the way he is so young but absolutely nailed the novel version of Zhang Zhun, a character nearly 2 decades older than him. Looking forward to seeing him in many more roles.

I finished the drama and started reading the novel today, and... oh my GOD.
There are some lines about Zhang Zhun in the novel that I literally thought to myself while watching Shu Yuan play him in the drama. Like the way in certain light his eyes look hazy and intoxicated even when he's not drunk, as one early example.
I already rated Deep In a 10, but if I hadn't, I'd be going back and rating it a 10, because nailing the exact hue of eye-glossiness the author had in mind for the character is INSANE characterization work on the part of the actor, the director, the stage/lighting teams, and so on. Bravissimo.

Absolutely, I'd drop it if I didn't think he was doing well. I just know he's 19-20 and as an adult nearly 10 years older than him, I cringe internally seeing someone that young handling that sort of content. Where I'm from he's not even old enough to have a stiff drink to distract himself after all that!

I saw everyone is praising this drama, but trust me i am already feeling irritated by this drama. I am on ep 7…
The drama is tagged distorted reality. The premise is that the emotions of the drama inside the drama are driving the emotions of the actors outside of the drama. It's not everyone's cup of tea, you don't have to like it & if it's a 2 for you, that's your opinion - that's fair. But to say there's no connection means you're interpreting it differently from the majority of people who get the connection & thus rate it much higher, so I'd invite you to - if you're so inclined - try to see it from a fresh perspective.
