I still have 10-12 chapters left to read. But based on the spoilers it is HE. It’s just the time i.e. the fallen dynasty and people are trying to protect themselves and the sovereign so everyone is going through a lot. But i feel esp bad for XQS. I should stop now otherwise i may spoil something.

Just saw the trailer and I can see there are many similarities with the novel. I think it’s going to be hard watch😭. But I can’t wait for it, specially to see TJC. it’s my first time seeing him in historical drama, and he looks so fine.

yes try it. i think you will love it. i have still have not reached the main revenge portion of the story but based on initial dynamics it feels like it's going to be a good story.

That was quite quick. I just finished reading “a touch of green” and just as you said it was a light, good read.
Currently because of my low/flat mood, i want something engaging so i am stuck between whether to read “dancing with the tide” or “empress reborn”. Also, “Behind the mask” is my most anticipated drama so I’m a bit reluctant whether to read it or wait for drama.

I knew from my experience of TFF that next airing schedule will be 1ep/day. Glad i waited otherwise this would be a hell!!!!

tho i have been watching historical dramas for quite a while now, i am new into historical novels or in novels as a whole. would you recommend some of your fav novels esp historical ones?

it's surprisingly good if you like second-chance romance with angst and tension. it's a pretty typical romance trope, but quite enjoyable, mainly because of the push and pull in their relationship.

ps: idk if you've read "Royal Betrothal", but if you haven't, i definitely recommend it. i read it before this one, and it was amazing. maybe bcoz it was my first historical novel, but i found it deeply engaging from the beginning to the end.

Wow 1 ep/day started in the airing week itself. Looks like there’s a tough road ahead with more days of 1ep. I still remember the first frost schedule and it had me at my wits. Looks like i better binge it later😁

This being my first novel and my all-time favourite novel is precisely because of how the character felt real. There was no green flag ML, just like in every other drama. And the female character growth was also remarkable. The hesitation within her because of low self-esteem and background, didn’t come in her way to be a better version. And actually, it’s the ML brutal honesty that makes her to thrive for more.

People are commenting, it’s a toxic rlp and ML is a red flag. I have read the novel, so based on that, I don’t agree with either. Does he have flaws? Yes. Does their relationship started on a wrong foot? Yes. But that doesn’t make him a red flag or their relationship toxic. I don’t know how much they have changed in the drama, but I really hope people would have an open mind to it because it’s a romance between flawed characters where one has a very high self-esteem while the other low self-esteem, which eventually, from the starting itself creates an unequal relationship. Both the leads throughout the entire series grows to be a better version of themselves.

Based on the clips that have been released so far, it looks like they are very closely following the novel, but novel is so long and the drama is just 24 episodes. I don’t know how they are going to put everything into these 24 episode. But I am really looking forward to it. Probably, I’ll wait for it to air and then binge it hehe.
