in the 1st ep itself he got to know she’s a spy. their relationship developed beautifully and gradually in a healthy way. No betrayal per se, but can say one however it’s solved easily. both are empathic towards each other so there’s no toxicity or betrayal.

ep 12 has to be the best i ever watched. everything about it was prefect esp the blond Fugui. if he ever portrays as a demon lord then he will surely look heavenly.

MLC is already in my watchlist. There’s so many dramas airing rn, so once we get a break, I will watch it.

My interpretation of his time-travel is based on my understanding of what he said, which is somewhat ambiguous and can be interpreted in different ways.

Another possible interpretation could be that his soul time-travelled to the body of Lin Yan from that era, which might have happened to be his past self or, as you mentioned, he simply became aware of this past life.

but he clearly stated that he fainted in the corridor the other day and had a dream about her. same experience that she had. the only possibility is he forgot the memories of modern world when he time-travelled.
