as a person that almost lost hearing on my left ear it really depends on how much a deaf person lost hearing. for example, although i can hear on both ears, my left is basically 80% hearing which still allows me to hear perfectly.. however most who have lost their hearing completely or 98% lost, only speak or hear their inner voice while dreaming (which is why we saw that part during yichan dream). most find it weird to speak as they themselves dont know what they are saying, most do think in image capture motion.
