Doesn't China disallow reincarnation, rebirth, transmigration, or time travel plotlines, even though there haven't…
i have a strong feeling the ending will be the FL waking up from a dream or writing a novel - there's almost no way this would pass censorship otherwise
i'm just dropping by to say I STILL CAN'T GET OVER THIS COUPLE. They probably have one of the best on screen and off screen chemistry I've seen in a very very long time T_T
ITS A HAPPY ENDING.Even before the extra content, the FL mentioned in an interview that it’s a happy ending.…
Even though the extra content was filmed last minute due to the drama's popularity, it seems the director wanted to ensure there was no misinterpretation of the ending as sad or bad. It’s almost as if he wanted to make it clear to avoid backlash from those who didn't understand the original ending. It's like saying, "For those who didn't believe it was a happy ending, here it is, so don’t criticize me. For those who did, enjoy their happily married life."
Even before the extra content, the FL mentioned in an interview that it’s a happy ending. Since the story is from her perspective, it’s clear that the ending aligns with her view. Additionally, the drama is based on a novel that ended with the FL reuniting with the ML and having a daughter, making the extra content canon even if it was a last-minute decision to film.
Even if we ignore the extra - The drama follows the FL's point of view, showing that she achieved her's and JL's revenge. Her family is alive and well. Her father recovered, her brother is with JiuYue, and her best friends are happy. She not only restored her original family but also gained a new one. She found the true love of her life and married him.
So, even if XH had died (which he didn't), the main plot revolves around revenge and retribution. XH also got his revenge and reconciled with his grandfather. Apart from his two sidekicks dying in the last scene, this ending is undeniably a happy one from the story’s perspective.
I was kind of disappointed that she lied to him and thought that he deserved to know the truth. But then when…
what do you want her to say to him? That the person you love ended up being a prostitute because those people saw that you werent there to protect her? Oh, btw she also got gang banged right before she died?
I think it was the best to do, and I think Qiongzi would've wanted that. She would've wanted his last image of her to be the happy and "pure" Qiongzi and not be filled with guilt and sadness over her experience and death.
At least she told him she's in a happy place and already moved on, that way he can move on and know she stills remember him.
a lot of platform sell this "express package", which basically means pay-to-watch the last couple of episodes early. It's a scam, but yet people like me fall for it T_T
OUR LAST COUNTDOWN BEFORE EXPRESS PACKAGE AND ALL EPS DROPS I'll miss this super active and lively comment section~ Also, at this point I don't really care how it ends because I had so much fun interacting here T_T 1 more hour to go for ep 36~~~~ and i think 6 hours to go for express??
c-netz comments are low key annoying me lol "XFF is the real evil one here" "XFF murdered a lot of people" "XFF caused the physician and his entire family to be killed" "Wanning is so pitiful, she doesn't deserve any of this"
The f? Are we all watching the same show? Yes, Wanning's experience is heartbreaking and she deserves sympathy, but blaming the FL for everything? Sure, the FL's plan might have indirectly led to the physician and his family’s deaths, but she can't predict every outcome. The ultimate decision to kill the physician was Wanning's. She could have stopped at the physician, but she chose to kill his entire family too. How is that the FL's fault? Just because we get some sad backstory, suddenly everything the princess does is "poor her"?
They didn't feel bad about the burrying alive? The torture my dad and brother to the point one is mentally challenged and other is almost disabled? The torture chamber? The mine slave labor she had going? The evil official that r*ped and abused people? The human slaughter interview? Wanning was behind all of that and much more. but we're going to say "the FL is the real evil one" or what she did was wicked because she gave the princess a fake pregnancy pill? Thats what people have a problem with? That's where they draw the line? That's our definition of messed up?
Did they forget that the FL took such drastic measures because Wanning was going to force her to remarry SYR and then torture her/make her life miserable? Is our FL supposed to just sit back and marry her ex or marry her cousin she doesn't love just because she feels sorry for Wanning (and she doesn't even know what Wanning went through)?
Sorry for the rant, The amount of hate comments on youkus and weibos to the FL was making me angry
Ohh, why we have 15 hours till the ep 36? So there is no early release for ep 36?
36 was never part of the early release. they always intended release 37-40 as part of the express package. thats package option is coming out a couple hours after 36 i believe...22:00 china time?
Therefore, The princess didn't have a lot of "miscarriage". The correct term would be "abortion". The princess…
I think it's implied that she intentionally chose to get rid of the baby by going into the freezing pond. Not sure if that works in real, but I'm just going to go with the flow that it worked for her lol
I'm seeing the term "miscarriage" being misused here a lot. For anyone confused, there's a big difference.Miscarriage…
Therefore, The princess didn't have a lot of "miscarriage". The correct term would be "abortion". The princess had many "abortions".
I'm not trying to get technical nor do I feel like pointing this out changes the story, but just thought it's weird the translations are calling it a miscarriage as if she didn't intentionally get rid of her baby(s)
While I completely sympathize with Wan Ning and understand how she became the way she is, her actions are inexcusable, as many have pointed out. Creating a torture chamber and ruining people's lives just to make herself feel better is indefensible. In the same scene, she sentenced the doctor and his entire family to death without any remorse.
I'm also surprised that a good amount of people (from the comments I've seen on weibo, some here, some on reddits, youkus, twitter, etc) are criticizing XFF for her scheme against the princess. Firstly, I doubt XFF knows the full extent of what Wan Ning went through. Secondly, compared to what the Wan Ning princess did to her family— torturing and abusing her dad and brother for half a year, leaving her dad mentally ill and her brother nearly disabled —XFF would have died in the most horrific way if not for plot armor. So, how is giving the princess a pregnancy pill considered "evil" or "an awful move"? If anything, she was doing her a favor by pushing her to marry her supposed love SYR had SYR not been an evil schemer himself and pushed her towards another man ...
Anyways, just my two cent on the episode. Li Meng is a great actress and that scene did tug at my heartstrings. Props to all the casts for being so great at their roles

Miscarriage by definition is the natural and unintentional loss of a pregnancy. Abortion refers to the deliberate termination of a pregnancy.
