Some people are saying things like men can be rapists, pedos, but that’s completely out of topic here. Don’t just bring feminist ideals into this: people on mdl would be ready to cancel a male actor in her situation too. Learning about her family history, it goes really deep and reveals a lot of unexpected things. Her great-grandfather was involved in poisoning the King and had connections with the Japanese, making him a traitor. Her grandfather was involved in and worked at a clinic by the Japanese, where human experiments were carried out on real living people - aborting women, destroying organs, taking children away from their mothers, etc. Those types of things mean their family has been living in wealth and comfort till now while the victims and their descendants out there are still suffering. Yet she is out there proudly talking on TV about being from a lineage of doctors.

So far I’m enjoying this very much!! We don’t get women-centered stories often so I’m always happy when…
Are you a new c-drama viewer? Historical c-dramas are generally female-centered or told from FL's POV most of the time. I'm not complaining about it, just stating a fact.

Why are you all thinking the drama isnt centered on both leads when all episodes haven't aired ?
I'm not even someone who thinks that way. Collectively hating on and blaming everything on DYX's fans isn't fair. Some of them aren't even his fans; they just prefer ML to have more highlights in every drama.

Why are some people blaming Ding Yuxi and his fans? Isn't this the case with every drama? The trailers and promotional materials also made people think this was going to be a project centered on both leads. With that expectation, they started watching it, only to barely see ML, so of course they're going to express their frustration. Blaming everything on his fans isn't fair.

Actually in the novel it was Zhao ling who rescues tingyun. He bought her antidote and saved her. But the director…
It is the start of the downfall of the drama to get the aura farming for FL for no reason. Not a good thing at all, they changed the novel for this.

You know what, only her hands’ touch works to see the ghosts? Even their lips touch or ML touches her forehead or body.. it doesn’t work. What kind of rule is that?

Ikr? It's not like I hate the current profession they chose. I just don't think it stand out enough for the class difference theme even if it’s considered less respected in Thailand.

Oh me too!! They're so cute and I'm a huge Riley Wang fan ^_^
I like him too. He is underrated, he deserves lead roles.

Haha, I see. But I don't mean all construction jobs, especially not mining. I was thinking more of manual labor jobs like construction laborers or factory workers—jobs that are often looked down on socially in many Asian countries. I just meant something like that might have made the class difference in the show a bit clearer.

Yeah, it's basically like that in many Asian countries. A lot of Asian families still pressure their children to become doctors or engineers even today. You'd be surprised, but those professions are still seen as the most respected and prestigious in many Asian countries. That's actually one thing about this show. I like the plot and the overall theme, but I kind of wish they had chosen professions with a more obvious status difference. For example, something like a doctor and a construction worker might have made the social gap clearer. Just my opinion, though.

god... i know its for the plot, but man... I hate the whole 'lying to the family' plot. Kanit even was going to…
I think the same. I think the plot is good but some scenes and the script feel a bit out of place and mismatched.

It differs from country to country. They accept being gay because it's Thailand, a LGBTQ-friendly country. If it were another Asian country like India, China, or Korea, they wouldn't accept being gay in general either. Australia is more of a Western country despite being in the Asia-Pacific region. Australia and New Zealand are culturally more similar to Europe, so that's not really a question. Someone below said it depends on the level of education and the skills needed in each country. That's why it differs from one country to another, and why some jobs are less valued than others.

if you're pretty insistent on a story being no-plot or has weak-plot, then do excuse me but why would u torture…
Then please don’t vent your frustrations under my comment. It feels like you’re using me to argue back with others. Anyway, bye… please calm down.

Again, I don't know who you're directing this comment at or what your beef with them is. Are you memorizing everything they say every week or something? Because I won't remember people's comments that way. Anyway, chill out. It's still a win—people are following it and engaging in discussions. Trying to pick fights with everyone who says something won't help this drama or your ship.

It is the point of following an ongoing series here on mdl. When a show is still airing, people point out the things they like or dislike based on the episodes released so far. People won't wait till after the show ends. If there are things that aren't working for them, they will complain about them. But they still keep watching because there are other things that are working for them.

I'm not the one who said that anyway. There's no need to pick a fight with everyone. I just don't want to see unnecessary negativity here, which is why I asked everyone to stay calm.

Calm down, guys ... don't fight over silly things. Let people have their own opinions. It's not that deep, whether call it a no-plot or weak-plot show, they're still watching it, right?
