Mad Respect for the Bandits…
Through whole drama I was having such an emotional reaction for the brave independence fighters and the bandits. I so resonated with the Josean people as a Native American whose land was invaded by an enemy of the people and to think they had to wait until the 1950s to gain their independence.I cringed at some Josean people turning against their own people only to still be regarded as scum. Yet their loyalty didn’t waiver against their conquerors.
The performances by the whole cast was so moving. I will definitely watch this one again.

Really liked but frustrated at times
First took a look at the cast. When I saw that Lee Joon Gi, Ryu Soo Young and Chun Ho Jin were part of the cast I thought “how could this drama not be good”?I was not disappointed. Frustrated at times; mainly because of how the law enforcement was portrayed. I kept thinking they can’t be so bumbling that Tae San was the one that actually brought the bad guys down. I kept thinking “dang he sure would’ve made an excellent detective” because he didn’t make a very good thug.
I went through love/hate emotions with Seung woo and Jae Kyung because they were letting their personal feelings get in the way. I understood Seung Woo because of how Tae San left In Hye to raise Sujin alone; plus In Hye didn’t reveal who TS was. Jae Kyung irked me because she kept messing up due to her need for revenge.
I kept wondering when I Chun Ho Jin was going to show up. There’s just something about his performances in any drama that I love. So again he was not disappointing m. When Han Chi gook realized that Mr. Kim was his son and that Il seok had kidnapped Mr. Kim I hoped that Chi Gook with his kind and tender ways would get through to him. Sure enough he did. Before that though, between Mr. Kim and Il Seok I didn’t know who I wanted punished the most.
The hardest part for me to get through was when Moon Il Seok’s went after Sujin. So seeing him in jail with his injuries I thought karma at its best.
I really like the actor Lee Joon Gi and again I loved his performance. This guy brought me to tears so many because his life seemed so tragic. This is the second drama of his where he played such a sweet, tender Dad. He would just make my heart melt.

Wonderful life? I
I resisted watching this drama mainly because it was 100 episodes. I have a tendency to get impatient if it drags on too much. I’m glad I watched. If I hadn’t I would’ve never discovered the actor who portrays Jin Woo, Oh Min Suk. In my opinion he stole the show. So now I’m going to go back and watch Beautiful Now because of him.
I laughed and cried so much.
I knew early on that Seol Ah loved Jin Woo just by how she tended to packing his suitcase for his trip. If she hadn’t loved him she wouldn’t have rushed to the hospital after his accident; nor would she have stayed angry at Jin Woo for more than a year. There were signs she cared because she worried about him; she knew what he liked and didn’t like. Because of pain, anger and her horrible mother in law her love was overshadowed. I always wanted them to get back together and glad they did. I loved it when Tae Rang told her that only she didn’t know she was in love with Jin Woo. Tae Rang ended up being a good friend to her. However, I was pleased that Tae Rang and Jin Woo formed a bromance in the end. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see more of there relationship before the accident.
The show did get a little slow at times to where I was starting to lose interest. Once Shi Wol was introduced I couldn’t get enough of his story. Lee Tae Sun’s portrayal of Shi Wol just broke my heart most times. A shame Hae Rang was Shi wol’s sister; otherwise I would’ve been okay if Cheong Ah and Shiwol had gotten together.
My other favorite character was Pa Rang. He was just too cute.

Lee Seo Jin
I’m basically watching Behind Every Star because of Lee Seo Jin. However, I’m finding that this is the first time I don’t like his character, Director Ma. What a shock. That only tells me how versatile he is because I’ve loved him immediately in Lovers, Times, Lee San and GyeBaek.Love the concept of the drama though. Because I'm enjoying the rest of the cast, especially Noh Sang Hyun, Seo Hyeon woo, Kim Tae oh and Hwang Se-on I am going to continue watching this drama. Hopefully Director Ma will grow on me. If not I will just back to rewatching Mr. Lee in Lovers and Yi San.
This drama ended up being just “eh”.

Flashbacks galore
I should’ve read the reviews first. For one, there were too many flashbacks.2) could’ve wrapped everything up in 20 or so episodes.
3) Ending was lame. It did have potential but in the end I didn’t care about any of the main characters other than Mike’s secretary and his girlfriend. Instead of continuous flashbacks I would’ve preferred to have seen the secretary and gf’s send off. Who didn’t predict that mean stepsister and golden boy wouldn’t end up together?

Not sure why I wasted my time
This was spoof, right? Everything was so over the top and again too much airtime given to the psychopathic villains.I really only tuned in because of Lee Joon. He’s been a favorite actor of mine ever since I saw him in My Father is Strange.
I got to the point to where all I cared about was the villains be taken down. Then I saw that there was a season 2 and that that wasn’t going to happen. I hope that season 2 doesn’t spend all their time on the villains and their dirty deeds. It’s time to bring them down 1 at a time.
The only character I liked was Min Do Hyuk. I could tell from the beginning he wasn’t a bad guy. The rest of the main characters were all psychopaths and there behavior got old.

Too many episodes
This story could’ve been told in 32 episodes or less. By the 12th episode I was done with all the evil people, especially the grandma, Chairman Moon and Ms. Kim and was ready for payback. So when I skipped to episode 38 I knew I didn’t miss much. While Ms. Kim’s quest for revenge was understandable using her kid wasn’t. Then there was the typical spoiled rich kid who hated losing to the poor kid. I didn’t understand the anger from Yun Joon after she had claimed she was grateful for her loving mom and started acting like a spoiled rich brat so quickly. Glad I skipped most of those nonsense episodes.
Lee Yoo Ri and Song Chang Eui made the drama, especially the ending well worth watching the last 10 episodes.

Ok at first
I really enjoyed the beginning but then it started dragging. I was disappointed that it took usual route of greedy family members and a person who was taken in by the chairman. After a while the greedy people bore me.Somewhere along the way the drama dragged too much. I think because I saw chemistry between Dae Han and Ha So but not much between Dae Han and Ji Jun I was hoping for a different ending.
One of my favorite characters ended up being Chief Sung.
Oh well.

If it weren’t for NamKoong Min
If it weren’t for Namkoong Min I wouldn’t have finished watching this drama. After about the 10th episode wondered why three guys were attracted to her, she was so drab.
By the end I didn’t care why they were separated. The brother/sister then love thing was creepy from her half brother and her step brother. Renaming her Hye Won, after their dead daughter, was creepy, too.
My favorite character was Namkoong Min’s character, Kang Dong Ha.
I ended up FFing through Ha Neul’s and Geon’s scenes in the end because I saw no chemistry. In fact I ended up wanting Geon with Hyo Joo.

Oh my the car chase
I got a whole new appreciation for Gong Yoo after watching Suspect. The car chases have to be the best I can remember ever watching. My whole body was tense. I had to take a break here and there during some of the scenes. When I saw that Jo Sung Ha was portrayed Kim Suk Ho, I just knew he had to be a bad guy. Loved it when the formula was for growing buckwheat. Joke on him.
Appreciated the Captain (Jo Jae Yoon) who provided some light moments of laughter.
I just wanted to sob when Dong Chul found his daughter.
I usually don’t watch KMovies. I’m glad I watched this one.

What was that?
There’s nothing more disappointing to me then when the bad guys, who’ve caused unnecessary pain and agony to other lives with no remorse, just get their hands slapped.I felt the couples were paired wrong. I couldn’t root for either couple. I wanted Water Bottle and Quack to get together😂
Thank goodness for the comic relief from Dr. Moon, Chang YI and Kim Chi gyu otherwise I probably wouldn’t have been able to watch all 20 episodes.
The medical aspect was excellent. The politics sucked. It’s kind of disheartening if doctors really behave this way.

Hyun Woo
Frankly the only reason I watched this drama was Hyun Woo.My first thought was that his character is so sweet, again. However, when his relationship was going through rough times I wasn’t too pleased with his fiancée or his ex gf.
Hyun Woo never disappoints me with his acting. I love it when he smiles. I think he should smile more often.
My favorite drama of Hyun Woo’s is still “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop.
I’m glad I watched. The ending was so sweet.

I liked Family: the Unbreakable Bond
Overall I found this drama silly but entertaining. Granted I couldn’t figure out who the good guys were and just knew from the top.The family was heartwarming most of the time.
I was Surprised as Do Hoon was that Yu Ra was a sniper also.
Heartbreaking that a government can so callously and coldly use children as if the end justifies the means when they killed them.
Of course, it goes without saying that Jang Hyuk is one of my favorite actors and I have enjoyed every drama that he’s costarred in with Jang Na Ra. Although there’s not any romantic chemistry between them I enjoy watching them together.
I wish Cha Tae Hyun had more scenes. I have to watch episode 1 again because he is that funny.

Definitely disappointed in the ending
I really enjoyed the early episodes when Jong Hoon, Oh Bok, Jung Da and Yeong Shin were kids.I think they miscasted the adult Yeong Shin. How they turned that positive kind little girl into such drab adult and a meany to Jong Hoon is beyond me. She just ups and stops feeling for him because of Jung Da. I get friend loyalty but that was too much because Jong Hoon was her friend, too and she loved him.
The relationship between Yeong Shin and her foster father as an adult was sick. I FF’d through a lot of their scenes.
In the end I felt Jong Hoon deserved someone better than Yeong Shin. They were so cute as kids but both were so drab as adult’s because of Yeong Shin.
My favorite character ended up being Oh Bok because he was so cute, positive, sweet and caring as a kid and remained that way as an adult. He and Jung Da really ended up being the cutest couple.
Anyway I guess I expected to see more romance between Jong Hoon and Yeong Shin. Very disappointed in them and wondered why they bothered to have them get married. Too many episodes were repetitive fighting over money and power which I FF’d through. Episodes that could’ve been spent on the 4 friends and their growing pins.

Best Mystery Thriller
I love mysteries. This one had me on the edge of my seat through the whole drama. It had me guessing over and over again who the bad guys were. I knew it had to be the wealthy but then I had to figure out who was being manipulated and who the manipulators were. The old man was a surprise as one protecting his dead son’s reputation. I wondered what happened to Saet buyl’s Dad. He seemed so devoted to his family only to cheat on his wife.
When the murderer was revealed I wanted someone to beat the crap out of him and Dong Chan came through.
Too bad I didn’t get to see the president’s wife and the Secretary suffer.
All in all this drama was like a good book that I couldn’t put down only to be sorry it’s over.
I’ll watch again because I missed so much.
Loved the character Dong Chan. Again Cho Seung Woo doesn’t disappoint. It’s like I can’t get enough of watching him no matter what character he plays.
