EP 5 was hilarious, but I just cannot let go of the fact that Dam Ye Jin drove her car in heels, and after she got out of the car, she put on shoes because that makes no sense.
I am enjoying it. I feel as if people are taking this drama way too seriously when this is the usual standard formula in every small village k-drama, which is totally fine.
Also, it seems like people are not getting the point and saying it as a criticism, but it seems you are not really supposed to like the FL in the beginning. Dramas like this, Hometown Cha Cha, and Welcome to Samdalri, I remember initially not liking the main lead from the city because they were pretty ignorant or arrogant, but as the drama progresses, you see their growth as a person and character that you eventually like.
This drama has the same amount of time to resolve all the plot layers as does a typical 16-ep series. There are…
Let us hope! I have seen too many dramas these past couple of years with 12 episodes where it did not have enough time to wrap everything up nicely. Hopefully this one does not fall into that trap
Enjoying this drama, the story, characters, comedy, and acting are pretty good so far. I actually really love the main cast characters, especially Gong Seung Yeon, who is killing it as the Empress Dowager.
My only concern would be that since the characters and plot seem pretty layered, they have not revealed too much of the history and background. Since the drama only has 12 episodes hope they do not rush any plotlines or ending
Halfway through this, but is it true that ML and FL do not end up together? If that is so, the ML needs better people around him to let him know how much better a person he is than the FL, and that they do not deserve him at all
Pretty much towards the end, a pregnant Ye Ping Jun leaves Yu Chang Xuan and goes to Jiang Xue Ting for protection and is ultimately held captive. She goes through a mental breakdown and acts like a child speaking gibberish.
Yu Chang Xuan marries somebody else, and a year later, he leads an army to get Ping Jun back. When Chang Xuan's army closes in, Ping Jun kills Jiang Xue Ting and runs away on a carriage, where she dies. The novel ends where Chang Xuan is riding his horse to the manor to get Ping Jun without knowing he just passed the carriage holding Ping Jun.
Also, just as a cherry on top, Chang Xuan, in his plot of revenge, accidentally executes his son, that he had with Ye Ping Jun.
All the characters are great, but Qi Min has really stood out to me. His character is irredeemable, but all his moments with Yu Qian Qian really stand out, showing how much of an interesting character he is from a psychological perspective.
I would not mind another drama with Deng Kai and Snow Kong as main leads, their scenes have been magic in this drama.
Getting tired of characters like Yeon Tae Seok, who try to put on a noble act but in reality is just a coward who does not want to confront his issues.
Really enjoyed this drama and the ending. To me, especially in their last scene, it looked like no matter what life they live in the book or real life, they will meet, fall in love, and live happily.
To me, it looks like they lived happily in the book world (I recommend you all to read the novel that covers their married life as emperor and empress), and once they lived that life, they came back to the real world to do it once again.
I can't stand this actress esp after that trash dynamite kiss. And her face changes every kdrama she was in too…
Blaming the actress for a poorly written drama is hilarious when the blame should be going to the writer and director, she did her job fine and she does great in dramas where the writers are actually competent.
Also, her face change every drama is definitely a reach, she looks the same and it seems she just lost weight over the years.
It was cute, but also tragic, thinking that a long-distance relationship would work. When work and school come into your life, it is really hard to maintain a relationship.
Seen this happen many times in real life as well. Glad they captured that in this.

Hoping for a happy ending for Hwang Dong Man and Byeon Eun A!!

Yes, this is going to be his arc of healing through it but tired of the noble act when it truly is not.
