I still prefer the novel; the interaction there is much more mature—I used to laugh at how bold Lin Xia was with Yunbai. Still, I understand the script's choice to go for a more teen-oriented drama. If only one could combine the youth arc of the drama with the college/adult phase of the novel... that would be perfect, haha.

I’m not a big fan of dramas with huge time skips, as they make me lose my sense of immersion with the characters—I end up viewing it almost like a completely different drama. I always prefer dramas set in the present day that use flashbacks instead. Still, at least the second part was more entertaining.

I still prefer the calmness, patience, and respect they showed during their college and undergraduate days, but I understand that the drama needs to dramatize their relationship.

It makes no sense to go through all that drama without any joy, only for them to release that "what if nothing bad had happened" scenario at the end. Does that even matter? They should have shown how Ren, Susu, and his son turned out in the future. The bonds between everyone were so insignificant that I didn't even care when they died—it was better than continuing to live in such anguish.

That was my biggest fear regarding this adaptation—that they’d change the male character's traits. The attraction starts mainly because he’s the only one who doesn’t treat her differently just because she’s smart; he acts like any boy would if he saw someone stealing the spotlight. Their relationship becomes so special—a bond rooted in their shared intelligence and geeky interests that creates a world of their own. I love their dynamic in the novel: respectful, intellectual, and innocent. But it looks like we won’t see that here; it seems they’re going for standard clichés—such a shame.

I read the novel a long time ago; it was such a pure and intellectual relationship... I don't remember any breakups (only her studying abroad) or misunderstandings. I hope they don't ruin everything with silly misunderstandings.

I wonder if she eventually finds out everything he did for her? I think that’s important, but the misunderstanding about him having abandoned her ends up pushing that issue somewhat into the background.

What a disappointment, that ending... the direction it took made absolutely no sense—forcing that plot all the way to the end. There were no subtitles, but luckily it was dubbed in my language.

When you hold onto something for a long time and end up disappointed... that’s how I felt. I waited so long for the dating phase that, by the time it actually happened, I didn't care anymore.

I saw the next trailers, and it frustrates me... about their relationship, and seeing her encouraging the other guy.

Why take something good with an open ending, only to turn it into something bad with a bad ending? People didn't ask for much, at least a complete ending. In the end, it added nothing new; they took away the cool things from the other story, from personality to mystical elements, and replaced it with something aimless and generic.

That's what I expect from the final episode of a romance novel. Learn from this...

How good it is to have a finished ending with plenty of time, without being one of those rushed endings in the last minutes. That alone earns you a lot of points.

How many months passed? in that time? since traveling by boat from county to county could take weeks.

The plot here about the brother and amnesia doesn't make any difference. Apart from the 2 couple, if you watch from 1-4 and then skip to episode 24, which I think was when she found out he wasn't her brother, changing the character from 2 ml to a bodyguard from ml. It would be a better story lol

Even though I enjoy the story and the characters, sometimes I can't tell if it's the comedy or the characters' attitudes that takes me a little out of the story's immersion.

I believe that no matter who she ends up with, it wouldn't last long anyway, I sense a distance in her. I believe that after about 5 years of experience, maybe she'll be ready for a serious relationship.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the way the story progressed. If someone watched it all at once, they'd get bored easily. But if someone watched it daily, it was bearable. The plot gets stuck in the ML, if it doesn't progress, the story doesn't move forward... making the story spend a lot of time on other characters or subplots that don't add to the focus of the main plot. It doesn't develop the main characters, making us question some decisions. The 2 ML and his family have a bigger impact than they should... so much so that you get more excited about the revenge actions of a certain character than the main ones...

I just think that the weight of the plot is all on Ml, making him not have all the freedom to act or be a charismatic character, while FL the amnesia plot allows her to express herself in the story and be free without the weight of the actions in the story. While SML also has nothing holding him back in the plot which makes him charismatic. I believe they should add more weight to their actions...besides just being the girl being protected or romantic interest.
