I like how the characters are introduced little by little. Episode 4 leaves you with even more intrigue, and the soundtrack in this drama is incredible — at times, it creates a real sense of horror.

GOTD is still on the list of most popular dramas even though it's been over 9 months since it aired. Maybe he doesn't have as much fame here because he's not doing romantic dramas (just my observation), but trust me, his popularity is still on the rise.

The story is based on a book, and the first season barely covers half of the original plot, which suggests that many questions will be left unanswered. Most viewers (over 80%) agree that the first 10 episodes are average, but everything improves from episode 15 onwards and they get hooked. In your case, it seems it was the opposite. Of course, we all have different tastes, and that's respectable, so there's no need to question someone else's tastes just because it wasn't to your liking.

The main protagonist did an exceptional job, and the book's author even praised his performance and defended it, showing genuine appreciation for how Dylan brought Xu Quian to life.
