it is really interesting to watch. a time when Shanghai played an important role in history. comparable to ‘fall in love’ 2021. Same time period.
the push and pull between the main characters, their overbearing families, the general political affairs.
fortunately there’s one episode a day. stil at least a week to go and I hope in the end the leads get their revenge , their love or whatever.
Zhang Linghe is in this series again a joy to watch. The interaction between different characters is good, some of the roles a bit OTT for westerners. but that’s the charm of watching Asian drama as well
