Refreshing take on the high school drama, a must see
it was such a nice series. not your typical high school drama/comedy.it’s a story about growing up, growth…
a high school girl in a all girl school is secrectly writing BL novels under a pen name.
she has the brilliant idea to take the four teachers as her main characters. from there on goes the story.
the acting is great, over the top acting when the novel is depicted. and not at all predictable.
I enjoyed this series very much. 30 minute eps is also not bad.
and the high school crushes are just that.

time period republican era in Shanghai
it is really interesting to watch. a time when Shanghai played an important role in history. comparable to ‘fall in love’ 2021. Same time period.the push and pull between the main characters, their overbearing families, the general political affairs.
fortunately there’s one episode a day. stil at least a week to go and I hope in the end the leads get their revenge , their love or whatever.
Zhang Linghe is in this series again a joy to watch. The interaction between different characters is good, some of the roles a bit OTT for westerners. but that’s the charm of watching Asian drama as well

emotional, slice of life, courage
at first I was a bit unsure whether I wanted to watch this series. because of the content. Boy was I glad I started ànd finished this series. and yes keep your tissues ready, you can’t keep a dry eye. not because it’s over the top or anything, just the opposite. the series was made with sincerity and love. and you can see that in the whole series. the actors did a top job, the four main leads were marvelous. if I would have a life threatening condition I would like to have a support group like that! love can make people be lifted to a higher platform.Was this review helpful to you?
