Yeah you put it into words the thoughts I have been thinking about since the beginning about the dynamic . I like the female lead but I honestly don’t like how this dynamic has been going in the drama so far because it portrays her in such a negative light to general viewers who don’t bother to pay attention and only put it on for background noise,etc.

Yeah that's why you need to pay attention to even be able to tell and A LOT of people dont have eyes and thats why it makes it fun to see actors trying to portray that subtle change whether that may be through the eyes or actions and expressions

Yeah that's true, she is quite a guarded person and that's why she's so hesitant to let people in and the crown prince as well. I just personally dont like how the drama is portraying it right now, I'll be honest, because everytime i can just already imagine the dumb comments about the female lead and so on. I guess that's why novels are better than dramas because you can actually hear more about the characters inner monologue and thoughts than a live action

I dont really like how they're portraying her in the drama right now, because it keeps making the male lead look pitiful because she's "cold" that's why i mentioned i wish the drama would've contained some inner monologues or more personal talks with someone she finds close, so the general viewers could at least understand that she does care for the guy unlike many accusations being thrown around about her by many dumb viewers who don't bother to pay attention.

I ship her half sister(not the evil one) the 9th prince, they would make an adorable couple

I agree as well, I just wish the drama would’ve included some internal monologue or her kinda having a deep talk about him with bu shu lin or someone close to her because the drama isn’t making it look too favourable toward her and makes her look like an icy cruel woman to the general audience who don’t bother to actually notice her real character

I am gonna miss this… even tho road to success wasn’t my most anticipated drama of this year to aired,I’ve really grown to love it as more episodes air. It’s such a healing drama that tackles issues that also hit close to home 😭 gosh I’m gonna miss it

im so excited for this drama! seeing as its a second-chance romance i feel like the writer might have seen their fate in LIP lol. but honestly i hope Meng Ziyi takes a break after this because she has been filming these dramas back to back plus a schedule on top of that so im worried for her.

I agree too, it didn’t sit right with me when she barely reacted when her father exposed his truth self and she had to return to the ml manor. For someone who is supposed to be naive, I’m surprised she didn’t cry or mourn even more about her father’s betrayal.

I’m pretty sure that transmigration is a banned topic when it comes to the censorship (unless I am wrong about that than my bad) so they had to find a way to get a by pass for the censorship because cdramas go under review to be able to even be aired and show it in a indirect way

She never had any feeling for the 5th prince. She only married him for her responsibility of protecting her family because she knew one day that a tragedy would fall upon them. So this whole time HE was the one that had an unrequited love not her.

She poisoned herself because she made sure that by drinking the wine her rival family sent her that it would get them accused and she could drag them down with her family as well

Tho I do agree that it is rather uncanny that she just accepts it so fast and the people around her didn’t to bother to ask any more question lol
