I don’t want to talk about other things because I get that it’s meant to boost empowerment and independence, and I understand reverse roles too to show how There are times when men act like that , or even worse. But in dramas, you never see an ML like her. Even the most ruthless MLs become soft later when they fall in love or at the end. But this particular FL, from the first scene to the last scene, never changed and never made the ML her first priority.

And yes, it’s made for women, and for about a decade now, almost all C-dramas have been for women and female fans. Yes, there are a few dramas with equality or that cater more to men I mentioned one with that and equality it's in my profile picture in my opinion one of good fl in cdrama world ( ml wash her feet but she deserve it and she's a good wife , just to know I don't have any problem with mls doing everything for fls but that who also love mls and they deserve every simping ) , but not enough or it's not have good ratings

Typical C-drama romance is all about jealousy, turning the ML into a joke. He cannot be with her for “good reasons,”but he cannot control his emotions as a man, and the moment he sees her with another man he hates, he suddenly wants her and think he likes love her , Meanwhile the FL making him jealous when she saw him watching her with sml , has no boundaries with the SML, and gives him hope indirectly , so we get the same stupid love-triangle cliché again.

I honestly wish, just once, they would reverse these clichés. Let’s see how the majority of viewers laughing at the FL when she humiliates herself with jealousy, watching the ML have a great time dancing and laughing with another woman and working with her and he laughing at her tricks 😅😂😂. I know I’m asking for a blue moon, but it’s really frustrating how they always humiliate the ML in love. He becomes jealous, fights another man for the FL, and looks ridiculous, while she doesn’t care that the SML is his enemy. She works with him, has no real boundaries, and even when she says “don’t cross the line,” she never actually stops him when he does, and he keeps doing it.

It’s always the same tropes, and they call it romance. Yes, it’s “romantic,” that only one side suffer because of it before even start dating , gets humiliated before and after, teased constantly, and reduced to comic relief. Then you read the comments, and it’s all about how funny his jealousy is, how people laugh at him. Some fans even want to “punish” him, not just by humiliating him, but by having the FL choose the SML so the ML regrets ghosting her for "good reasons" ,
and because of jealousy he would have to confess before dealing with his reasons, so their relationship have only one end is to break up later, before they get back at the last episodes

I gave an example of a simp FL, which was the FL from Princess and Lighter, and that’s it. And even in that case, the ML was still better than this FL a hundred times, in how he loved her and showed his love in many ways the FL had dignity, she had a say in the relationship and also has a say in how he act , and he made real efforts to please her.

But to tell me that there is a C-drama exactly like this current “simp ML” trope? Sorry, you’re wrong 😅 lol. I’m still waiting for you to name just one of those dramas you mentioned so I see if I watch it or not can , and we can compare them.

I’ve been watching C-dramas for a long time, long enough to know that what you’re saying is not entirely wrong . It was to a degree like this before, but it’s definitely not like now, where they make MLs exist only to love FLs unconditionally, change completely for them, and do everything for them and fighting sml for her , amd one big difference is that in past was not okay for many viewers and they call mls toxic and red flags but now fl get praised and say she's a queen and mls has to be perfect or they a don't deserve fl , sml better than him , and in past abusing fls was a no no and it's called toxic when he do that and he apologize later when he knows he was wrong about her because it's many times jist misunderstandings , but now slapping mls more easier than drink water and fl act like she did him a favor by slapping him and let's not talk about love triangle and virgin mls and fl have toxic exs and CEOs fall for her after she breakup with that scumbag ex 😅😅😅😅😅 .... and I can say more about this , and believe me I hated also the past Cdramas and weak fls that simping for someone don't deserve her and I hate abusive mls that slap fls or women in general , but I hate more fls that slap mls because at least mls apologizing for doing that but fls never apologizing and they even get mad at him after even when she doing more than what she slapped him for 😕😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

I understand women like this , but as a man I can't see any good about it especially the way she act with ml , I don't care about other men because it's just waste of time and pawns, but ml that they make him look like the final boss also, become when he face her a little puppy that she don't care about, and all what she did for hik it was in reality jist to make her look more badass 🤦.
and yes you're right it's drama and they sell this to majority of viewers who is women so this is perfect for them, and I know if this reversed no one will say it was good from those who say it's a good drama. and I know all mls in recent Cdramas are simps but they still have a little of dignity and fl show that she love him and say it , like prisoner of beauty and the double and female general and other dramas with strong centric fl Cdramas, but this is too much till if I was in the drama I would slapped the ml to wake up from the drugs he take 😅😂😂😅😅

I stopped watching because of this stupid love triangle and especially when they make her working with him , it's gives me the vibes of love is sweet fl that she work with sml and she knows he's ml enemy but still she don't care about it , and she didn't listen to ml till sml forcefully want to kiss her , and she still saying oh he's a nice guy to her boyfriend while putting ice on his face because he get punched saving her from sml, and she just laughing at him because he's jealous, and in drama she slapped ml couple of times but sml even when he Force a kiss on her she called him a nice guy lol

even love triangle and she don't have anywhere else to work except the sml the enemy if ml is old stupid cliches but they use it , and start very good with communicating and understand each other to jist cut it and act like they don't know how to talk, is another cliche to make fl close to sml because of work and have more time with him so he misunderstood her kindness and caring as she has feelings for hik and he fall for her easley another stupid cliche. and her not forcing the boundaries with him and just think he will listen to her is what fls normally doing in this Cdramas.

draw a line and force him to not cross it is two different things, and she act like all people like her kind and caring just her saying that think he will listen to her and understand her while she still act with him like friends, and it's really stupid this cliches that makes fl work with sml so ml get jealous so he confess without solving his problem first, and he act only because of jealousy, and this will make them breakup later because they didn't start with understanding and knowing each other very well,

I agree with you completely. They always use this stupid cliché that she “can’t be independent” if she works with the ML, but with the SML she suddenly is independent. And like you said, she lets him interfering and oh boy if he becomes obsessed to win her , and one if stupid cliches at the end she will be friends with him and ml also forgive him and become a big happy family of three both love her lol,
and whether she wants it or not, she still benefits from him. Because she’s close to the ML, he would help her even more after he falls for her. So she would never be truly independent, because indirectly she’s taking advantage of men who love her.
And there’s one drama I think I watched where the FL didn’t give a damn about her career or job more than the ML, and it’s on my profile, one of the rarest FLs in the C-drama world.

when I'm saying that I mean the writers do this cliches and not write her spending time with sml jots for that, but they always give a reason to make her around both ml and sml and it's mostly career and job, and that she can't be better without working with sml lol , it's a good reason to make jealousy scenes and to make her have good chemistry with him and intensity so fans debate about it and make the drama more good for majority of viewers that like to see a fl have a bunch of simps around her that love her and change for her even,😂😅
