Based on the novel not blind. I feel like that will definitely be adapted in the drama as well.

Yeah I was genuinely shocked. Like I get Prince Cheng’s reaction but there should’ve been a reaction from the crown prince too since out of the two prince he was the one who somewhat liked her.

Based on the novel yes the emperor is fake. And I think they will adapt that here. I think the dowager had twins based on her reaction to her convo with grand princess where grand princess said prince yu had twins. Due to whatever reason, one twin was given away who was raised by farmers and we know rest of the story (he is Yan Li’s biological father). In that coup, he replaced the king whose body was burnt beyond recognition and they might’ve been identical twins so no one doubted him. Thus he successfully replaced him.
All are theories atp.

Even I wanna know what happened to them in the novel. Qin Shuang might end up with the guard who I think might achieve high rank in the future.
Qin Xiang is the cocubine so she might face oppression from the consort also prince cheng only chose her with evil intentions. Also we don’t know what will happen to prince cheng. I am really curious to see how they end up. I hope at the end of the drama, we are given a glimpse at all their lives👍

Well it is a guess honestly but I’ll give my reasons for this:
The previous suspected prisoner stated white is for leader and silver mask for deputy leader.
Every time there were scenes shown of the painter killing he was wearing a silver mask.
The flashback from the prisoner’s memory showed the leader and his physique looked like Yan Ze.
Finally the reason behind him doing those deeds. Well as stated the heavenly cult goes after sinners. They recruit members who have been neglected by the law. And based on the novel spoilers Yan Ze did face unfairness.

Spoiler from novel:
Yan Ze and his mother was also a victim of the emperor. Also in the novel, he was pretending to be blind which Wan had figured out.

Based on these assumptions, he is very much likely the leader.

Exactly like what happened there. I am not looking for an extended love triangle however it was so abrupt. Like how did the change happen? Like there was absolutely not a single hint of any kind. I know it is hard to adapt the full novel and honestly it wouldn’t have been an issue if the scene of “crown prince asking for wan’s hand in marriage and finding another husband for the other woman” hadn’t happened.
I truly do not understand how we went from that to him having no reaction to even smiling for yan chi🤷‍♀️

I understand that the novel was not completely adapted however it just seemed abrupt. The way he wanted to fix the woman’s wedding with someone else to not even having any kinda reaction to wedding announcements. I get it he is a coward however there should’ve some reaction. How did his decision change?

Express tomorrow.🥳 Well we kinda have an idea about the villains. I finally caught up with all the episodes and based on it I feel there are two options for future emperor.
Prince Yan Chi and Prince Yan Sui. They are very likely to pull the Yan Sui being emperor move but I hope it is Yan Chi. I know people think QW doesn’t want to be empress and her freedom would be taken etc but QW was always the one to uphold justice and I feel she will be a great empress also YC is literally emperor material.
The current crown prince is an indecisive loser. Prince Cheng is a evil person with absolutely zero respect for any woman. And prince Yan ze seems like the leader of heavenly cult. Yanli is also a heir and good person but not emperor material.
Right now only YAN CHI is the correct choice unless the writers adapt the same old plot and make YAN SUI emperor.

Since express is releasing tomorrow, I was skimming through the past few episodes hoping to watch them all tomorrow but I watched today’s ep a bit and I have one question😅
Can someone please tell me why the crown prince is okay with chi and wan wedding? I thought he liked her? So what happened?

If the emperor is imposter then the 9th prince doesn’t have the power to inherit the throne right? In the novel it was still stated that the imposter was the emperor’s brother but here it doesn’t seem like it. The two princes are useless. Right now only Yan Chi and Yan Ze seem like the rightful heirs.

Okay from reading the comments many are suggesting the 9th prince to take the throne under the supervision of the dowager but it doesn’t really seem possible. Spoiler alert below.

Exactly I want it too. I hope they follow the novel ending. I haven’t read the novel but from spoilers below, I learnt they were twins so maybe that acts as a disadvantage for his mother but idk how they will adapt that in drama because they don’t seem to be twins here.

I hope they follow the novel ending. I know many disagree since QW doesn’t seem like that(to be confined) but YC is definitely suitable. And honestly I can see QW as a suitable candidate too.

Hell yeah....that's what I wanted. Even though it was not exactly what I expected, but that scene was just beautiful. Hosu's smile stole my heart.
Now, we have more 6 eps left. I am curious what happens now. I feel like they will return to themselves and then maybe the plot will focus on Mirae now?
