In my decade of watching kdramas I can confidently say this is the only one that hasn't had a single filler scene.…
Also if you are in thrillers there is a drama I guess came out in 2024 called “Frog” starring Gu MinSi it also has a very engaging screenplay and no filler

Yep I totally agree. However @fuyu made a good point maybe DoJae was spying (tracking) SeEon location.
Make sense but how will he knows how the surgery went

Their is this horror based kdrama starring Kim tae ri called "The Revenant" very tight plot well written no filler and story creeps you out. There is no body horror but the plot and surrounding creates an element of horror eerie and terrifying atmosphere. Very good if you get a chance watch it very good story as well

Wait why the hell I'm still a bit suspicious of sang u. The kidnapper (real son) recieved the msg that so-eon (our ML) is still alive and that msg came when only sang u and hee Joo know about that.

I haven't started this because I loved the Korean version so much. Is it worth watching?
No, I found it very vague. The cinematography is amazing, ost the other couples' having pov makes it interesting but the main couple's conversations about their dispute are very rushed. Also since it is different from the KV you can find on your own. I can point out the difference so if you want to stop reading till here it's completely fine.
1. The sculpture which leads to FL understanding he (her ex) is a jerk and made her lose hope in a proper relationship is very different here. The difference in artwork makes the entire plot different
2. In KV FL is very aware of what kind of relationship she wants. She was sleeping with him and didn't want others to find this ML was also clear on what kind of relationship they were in and he specifically talked about this beforehand; here the entire equation is different they are more in conventional sort of dating seen.
3. In my view I can see a power imbalance here, as he is an acting teacher for this session. So it's a bit weird cause in most seen when he ignores her during classes or so it makes more sense cause no one wants extra special attention from your teacher in front of your classmate cause you guys are dating.
4. The playboy characteristics of the ML are very toned down here. I feel like he is more reserved and doesn't want to share anything with others, kind of person rather than he is a playboy.

Also him being an acting teacher brings that power imbalance. It also makes hard to stay always around each other. Even if people are suspecting imagine not only on trip or class an acting teacher is always close to you noticing you and practically giving all their attention to you. It uncomfortable and put you on the spot for gossip.

On ep4 what the hell the conflict is even about. It's like she wants to be deep but it not coming as one. She saw a girl who he immediately told is childhood friend and when he talk to her or someone she is like i thought I can be the only one. So one should drop every friend and acquaintances once you become a couple. How does that works. It very confining to only depends or communicated to one person. I know after this it's going to be shown as Ren is a douchebag but in all honesty Miu pov makes no sense. I find side characters stories way more interesting. The starting of the drama was good but still Miu character is deliberately made pitiful like everything is wrong only happens to her. The story has become boring.

wasn't it a dog walk😂😅
I think you are getting confused with the imagination of Hee Joo yes it was a dog. YYS real life dog Rita to be exact. The og is taking about the sign language practice they did for the trending meme of cat walking down the frozen han river

That question is partly answered in the novel, but it might be handled differently in the drama. Happy to share…
No please, thank you though. I don't want any of the novel spoiler yet.

It's KSL, Korean sign language, not CSL! ASL & KSL have some signs in common- about 32% according to a study done…
This make sense. Mainly cause we have so many languages. If their is a international sign language it wouldn't make sense in my books. I thought sign language depends upon the spoken language in that country hence when they do hand gestures people can easily understand it

It’s not a love triangle.. they’re married already there’s no chance of her getting with the second lead…
She is like us. Fan but doesn't want to get married or something she is also aware that he is married and respect that.

he just isn’t ready to tell her, but instead of saying that simply, he has to be super vague. their whole problem…
Agreed! That's the issue they have so it make sense that it wouldn't go away in few minutes.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
I think who ever send that video. Thinking that sa-eon is behind the missing children (which I'm thinking is true) but they don't know about the switch.

If kidnapper (the Unnie-ya guy) wasn't there to push her. Unfortunately it leads back to Park do jae the one wearing black. But then why would he do that? I'm guessing one of those missing children might me one of his siblings and that why he is also an accomplice but is not aware of the fact that Baek Sa-eon is not real Baek Sa-eon.

I'm still sus towards that mom the way I was from the start. I think she knows that her real son is alive. Maybe that why she was bit flustered when news was telling the features of kidnapper. (Or) She already know this but worried that they have gotten so close to catching him. Also the way she address her son on national TV it feels like she is indirectly asking him do don't worry things are still under their control.

Now to talk about Sang U, sus, how or when did he know that Hee Joo could speak? Why he was on the same path as Sa-eon (in the preview). I don't think he is the real son but he is sus.

Chairman Hong, well half of my prediction is true for him. He was behind the departure of In-a. But what could be that damaging done by grandpa Baek that he would agree to everything chairman hong wants; but still chairman hong will end up complying with the marriage of In-a and Sa-eon in first place.

As some of the comments talked about before that their could be many accomplices I agree to that. I means by yesterday's episode we can see three big accident happened so there are more people that may want the revenge.

I have to give it to the writer 8 episode in and still we can't see clearly who is behind all this.

So are we considering the fishermen as real dad of fake sa eon i thought he was related in different way. Not like a father but part of family. Or someone who took care of him.

I swear to god this year I have watched most drama the week they were dropping and all of them didn't made the wait feel unbearable the way this one does. As soon as Friday over I'm like how I'm going to wait for 24 hours and as soon as Saturday over i realise damn it's 5 days now til new episode.

This drama has me in chokehold since the day I saw the poster. There was something in that poster. I made instant decision to watch it. The other time something like this had happened when "Hidden Love" released it first poster months before finalizing the schedule to air it.

I really want to know did this happen to you guys. Like ever? That you decide to watch a show just cause of the poster not even knowing what the genre of the show is or the synopsis.

Who was the target of the accident in which In A's little brother died? Was it HeeJoo already? Not sure because…
I also think it's weird but you do raise a good question cause even when paramedics where their they ignore hee Joo while they took both the kid away immediately. I was actually thinking the real son was somehow responsible but then it will not make sense cause he would have been too young
