Just a question. Are kdramas better as a binge or two a week format?Personally, I'd say two a week is better.
I tried both and and hands down binge is the best way when it comes to kdrama there are so many drama I think I would have enjoyed if I had just binged it rather than waiting 2 episode per week and the 2 episode per week only work for a very few kdrama in my case.

While leaving canada, did she say Dorami was taunting her so she just tried to make him fall for her for fun?…
Hi, I hope to explain it to the best of my ability.
So here I go;
The conversation was certainly confusing, but I understood it much better after watching later episodes.

We see Mu Hee see Ho Jin and Ji Sun talking and smiling, and she ASSUMES that they are back together.

That is the biggest flaw in Mu Hee's approach in that conversation. Rather than clearing things up, she assumes things and then begins to distance herself completely.

When Ho Jin asks her to tell him why she came and what is actually going on in her mind, she says, "Congratulations to him", and says she is happy that they can now be together without even hearing him out. [This aches Ho Jin because, just a few hours earlier in his car, he had promised to call her back once things were sorted, and clearly said that after the kiss, it's hard for him to sleep as well. It was already hinted that he had started falling for her.]

Then she kept going and tells how, throughout this entire trip, Do Ra Mi kept talking to her about how he doesn't love her, and we see how that emotion changes her behavior toward Ho Jin throughout the Canadian trip. Whenever she feels more insecure, she tries to prove Do Ra Mi wrong so her pride can stay intact.
- Example of her asking Ho Jin to stay longer, then, while watching the Northern Lights, she realizes what she is doing and says let's go back, even when he asks her to stay a bit more.

That is why she says Do Ra Mi wins, because when she assumes the situation between Ho Jin and Ji Sun in the library, she listens to her to shut things down and run, as of course, no one loves her. She completely takes agency away from Ho Jin, who clearly promised her to contact her back or even tell his truth.

But the twist comes when Ho Jin addresses that he was falling for her until now, which means he wants to stop that feeling because the person in front of her uses Do Ra Mi to manipulate his emotions. She clearly doesn't respect him enough to wait for him to talk, but lets her assume things, and keeps testing intimacy instead of building it, keeps pulling him in and then pushing him away to reassure herself that she still has power. That is how she fell for him to begin with, and she refuses to accept the distance and boundaries he clearly sets.

And he finds that he can't deal with someone who, rather than relying on real conversation, relies on assumptions and is in a constant fight of proving Do Ra Mi right/wrong because of her pride, and that it not only affects her emotions but also the others who are directly connected to her.

In short, Mu-hee didn’t intentionally play with Ho-jin’s feelings, but by relying on assumptions and her inner voice instead of direct communication, she unintentionally hurt him. Ho-jin stepping back wasn’t rejection. It was a boundary.

Few things, I watched the entire show in 1 sitting cause honestly to me it didn't felt dragging. It fold gradually,…
Now Do Ra Mi, every time she is on screen, it feels like drama is breathing freely, but when Cha Mu Hee was there, it felt hard to breathe, which is the exact emotional weight writers were going for and nailed it really well.

It starts as a horrifying element with Do ra mi as we(viewers) and Mu hee shi both are introduced to then she kinda accepts Do ra mi, and then we collectively realise that Do ra mi is not per se there to hurt Mu hee though her actions looked like that. But in reality, she acted as interpreter between Mu Hee and Hoo Jin and the viewers.

She surely does help when it comes to deepening the chemistry with Joo Ho-jin because she was able to do what Cha Mu hee couldn't openly cause she assumed and overthought everything, and denied her permission to see good at the end of the conversation.

I did like that the writer chose to personify Cha Mu hee’s anxious thoughts and represented them as another person who is not completely opposite, because that's bold behaviour we see in very 1 episode when she was not a public figure and spoke what her mind said.

The ending god, what is happening with kdrama endings in general is like the drama starts strong, then they can go either good or mid in the middle, and by the end it is always the same story in romcom, one of the lead will leave out of nowhere, and then like 5-8 minutes before drama ends will comeback with a time gap.

Also, the junior knows he is married. If he were not emotionally indulging her, she would never have "forced” a kiss on him, which he didn't deflect.

She deserves so much better and such a great loyal friend to our FL and her husband. Awful side storyline, I hope…
Yes, I can give you more insight.

After the slap debacle, the husband didn't check if his said client is making his wife’s life hell, given the fact that he was a newly appointed manager of the industrial park, and he[husband] knew about that. Neither did Mr. Gong know at first, but after reviewing the CCTV footage, he was sure that dude would be trouble, so he kept an eye out for the kind of trouble his co-worker, who is Zhao, was in, as they are in the same industrial park. Even Hu Xiu was part of a social group that updated industrial park activity, so you are telling me the husband never checked on or asked if she was okay? Maybe because he never cared.

I'm not saying Mr. Gong did this with an ulterior motive, but it goes to show that he is a good person who is looking out for co worker and, in this case, the victim of an accident happened in his establishment, and he kept checking on Zhao, and that’s how he became a regular, but her own husband never cared to look into this, even when that dude freaking slapped his wife and not just had some verbal fight.

Never liked Xiao Rou’s husband from the start. Always acting sus, conceals things, and suck at communication.…
After that slap scene, I was for sure he was the worst.

novel readers, pls tell me they stayed tgt and bought a big house
In a novel, he cheated, and then they got divorced. That’s what I read. But there are so many changes made in the series. But,

NGL, his behavior is very weird. When his wife was disrespected, he didn't utter a word. If I give him the pass for that, he was trying to secure a client, and then that said client slapped his wife, and he honestly did nothing. Hu Xiu did a better job than he did.

Next, he started a business without telling his wife, and made her panic, and let her believe he was into some shady stuff. I'm not saying you need permission, but you just need to have a conversation that says, “Hey, babe, I'm thinking about this, and I want you to support me. And the way Zhao Xiao is, she definitely would.”

Then he quit his job and again hid it, even though his wife knew that he would leave once the project was secured, which he himself told her. She didn't ask him to do this and then leave your job, but he did that.

Even if you think he is doing those for their happiness, then that's not how relationships work. You need to communicate with each other because you’re not just girlfriend or boyfriend anymore. You guys are married, and as a partner, you need to communicate things and not hide things that affect both of you. These things should be discussed with your partner.

As I read this somewhere, cheating is a series of choices you make, and it doesn't happen out of the blue. These are the choices he is making, and I agree with a few people here who noticed the pattern first and said he looks like he has fallen out of love with his wife. But since they have been together for so long, the comfort of knowing is what keeps him with her.

Stop here if you haven't watched episode 16,

1. Big spoiler, he immediately updates his affair partner that he quit his job, but conveniently forgets to tell his wife.
2. Major spoiler, he is very much emotionally cheating on his wife, and she caught them physically cheating too. Even his sweet acts these past few days toward his wife were mere afterthoughts of his outing with his affair partner, and the drama doesn't just hint at this; it shows it in full detail. As for the chat beyond the boundary, it had been going on between them for so long.

The English title, it matches the vibe of the show so well. It's not one of those stories where ML and FL fall at first sight or just for plot, but you can see through their interactions and sharing their lives that they are falling for each other more and more. It's slow, but the intimacy is surely there from the very first meeting.

I’ve noticed that this drama has been crafted with remarkable intricacy, especially in how each character’s…
Wow for someone who didn't ever noticed this nuance it somehow made so much sense.

Actually, there was one instance when I noticed this voice nuance was in another CDrama, Sweet Teeth, and I was F**king captivated how Bi Wenjun’s character Ai Jingchu’s voice matches so much his character. And mind you, this was my 2nd CDrama ever. Then in interviews, I listened to him talk, and it was completely different. That’s how I learned a dubbing voice actor has been used to fill literally all of his lines.
I was sure I was disappointed, but since I have watched that drama multiple times, I truly understand why the voice actor was needed and how much the CDrama creator thinks about all the nuances to let their viewer completely immerse themselves in the universe of the drama they are watching.

I'm someone who look into cinematography and camera angle + plus how the aesthetic is used in show with editing overlays so you explaining the voice nuances was such an amazing perspective. thank you
