I am referring to consort Qin's and ED's conversation in ep. 20. When ED asked Qin what was she worried about…
There is no complete trust in politics and court. The relationship between them is based on shared interests where each serves the other and maintains their positions. On the contrary it would be childish and illogical to portray them as close and highly trusted friends. They are not there to cultivate feelings and the rift in this relationship began with the death of yuan feng
I hard agree, some comments act like they are giving criticisms but it seems like they are just waiting, as soon…
Yes it made me a little frustrated. I wanted to see the discussion of today's episodes because I missed it due to the big time difference but i end facing a number of hasty and illogical comments.
Never mind the trolls, did you say 20 eps? I've only seen 19. Where is 20? I must have 20 π΅βπ«!! (Yes,…
It hasn't been released yet. Your comment made me laugh ππ; if it were available, I would have bought all the remaining episodes, but I think this is its essence going step by step.
I think before anything, FL needs to tell him about how her family was involved with the edict. ML may even want…
This divorce scene I think it appeared in one of the trailers, and given her personality this will happen soon because she'll tell him immediately after receiving it. I previously commented that she kinda treats her life like a to-do list which means she won't open up to him until she completes this 'task' but at the same she'll probably tell directly
I feel that in the past two days there have been many comments trying to bring down the series. I'm not talking about those who are simply expressing their opinions, but rather the strange type who give the impression that they're lying in wait for any scene that might suggest the plot collapses in the second half... I mean, if we've learned anything throughout the past 20 episodes it's the importance of patience and letting the plot unfold at its own pace whether it's the relationship between the two main leads, the other new characters, or the new events. Everything will be revealed in its proper place and time. I find this narrative style is a gem among dramas of the past few years. It seems as if we are seeing their normal lives and miss the details that we think are normal or even unnecessary that later end up the base of a bigger picture. Unfortunately, this series aired at a time when focus and patience have collapsed.
It's surprising that she's functioning at this level. She's talking to herself, experiencing hallucinations and…
This reinforces that she is highly detached from reality. The new episodes somewhat showed that she kinda divides her life into parts and tasks... she treats it like a check list
Everything is ok but I was expecting more from their chemistry. I mean Ilike how they already act like an old…
It seems logical to me that there is no romantic tension and we will find out if that is really what they are trying to do later. They are in tune and comfortable with each other and are getting physically close but still this does not necessarily mean that it is love. Affection and harmony are growing but what do they really know about each other? They still kind of strangers tbh they're both dealing with their own crises and opening up isn't easy. It's probably been several weeks since they were married which is why they have a strong growing partnership and attachment but love is difficult in an imperfect state when both and particularly her are not fully there. Another probability they may love each other yes but it's not a passionate or dramatic love for the moment. Ultimately I admire their relationship; it seems realistic for most traditional marriages comfort then affection but not always end up with romantic love.
What the hell happened to NPC makeup? Some had a heavy blush on and eyeshadow, while the leads remained beautiful…
Actually this type of makeup was indeed common in the Tang Dynasty (bold blush and eyeshadow, tightly drawn lips with lipstick, pale skin with white powder, and unusually shaped eyebrows with bright and varied decorations on the face). However, the degree varied among the kingdom's classes Dancers/singeres were bolder, while noblewomen used it more intensely to signify status and then the intensity decreased as their status declined. You can see the dancers' makeup is bold while the Empress is more refined with more accessories. Yeli's preference for simplicity is personal and due to her mountain simple life while you can see that her sister and step mom did more similar to the empress
Because, as I guessed, her brain is rearranging and fabricating her memory. She is actually somewhat detached…
Idk if it is a sign but for me It's happening if you notice we haven't seen her maid (qing shuang) since the monkey incident while we saw her every time Yeli was alone at the beginning...she feels less lonely with his presence
Prince D is now falling for Ye Li. Therefore, I am not sure if Ye Li loves him like he does. She only is doing…
Because, as I guessed, her brain is rearranging and fabricating her memory. She is actually somewhat detached from reality, while love prefers a constant awareness of reality. It's not that she doesn't love him, but she's currently preoccupied with unfinished tasks, so her love is slow and delayed compared to his. He will improve and her condition will worsen once she completes those tasks.
Ye Li doesn't suffer from split personality or schizophrenia. There's no definitive sign of it as i saw all her symptoms are consistent with a PTSD for me also Intelligence isn't necessarily tied to a calm or cold personality; someone can be funny and cheerful while still being highly intelligent and sharp. It doesn't necessarily mean she has two personalities; it's perfectly normal type of character also If she has indeed lived alone for years on the mountain then my thoughts could be plausible. It's a defense mechanism the brain uses to mitigate trauma like hallucinations and memory distortion. She's not lying but her mind recreates events to relieve her focus from herself and shift it to another personality... This is a spoiler: for example, when she fell off the mountain she remembered that her teacher had helped her but she most likely did it herself but because her brain protects her from the shock of danger by shifting the focus to another person. As for her talents it's quite normal; in that era (not just Chinese) noblewomen typically learned various arts such as reading, writing, music, and art. We saw her learning martial arts..ect at the academy like all the other students while medicine was her personal choice. (I saw comments saying she's Mary Sueβfor God's sake everything makes sense here she doesn't have superpowers! )
