get a life hater they had to promote jealousy incarnate through min ho's legend of the blue sea not other way…
You tried to hide your hatred but not too well. "But I just hope Lee Minho does a good job :”” he’s very lucky to be casted and I hope he doesn’t spoil this chance". LMH is highly praised for his portrayal in Pachinko. He received the American Golden Derby award for Best Actor, among other awards he received for Pachinko. See my latest post above for details of how well he did in the drama.
.the data was solely based on insta followers , but yess his recent dramas are pretty average ,also he needs to…
The King: Eternal Monarch and Pachinko are "pretty average"? The ignorance is staggering. As for his acting, he got international acting awards (see my latest post above), a feat only a few kdrama actors have accomplished.
Been reading the comments and I find the hatred directed at Lee Min Ho appalling. Can somebody honestly tell me why the hate? Has the guy done anything to you personally? Or, as I've read somewhere, why the envy? Hating somebody who doesn't even know you exist and has done you no harm is the most pathetic thing one can do. To those who belittle LMH's acting skill, one thing I like about LMH is his nuanced and natural acting that I find elegant. I'm not a fan of the theatrical style of acting espoused by many kcdrama actors that I find unnatural.
Global audiences admire his acting, based on the following awards he won for Pachinko: - Best Drama Actor (Gold Derby Awards) - Breakthrough Performer of the Year (Gold Derby Awards) - Best ensemble in a Drama series for Pachinko (Pena de Prata awards) - Peabody Award to Cast of Pachinko (Peabody Awards) - Short-listed for Emmy's Best Actor nomination (several critics)
Hate and envy are so old school. Join a world that believes in love and joy. It's a much better way to exist.
Whoa, this is a 50 billion (won?) production? I'm so in awe of Lee Min Ho. His latest works - The King Eternal Monarch, Pachinko and this are groundbreaking, not the usual plots you find in kdramas. This is set in a space station, the first time it is being done in Korea. I guess that's why it's taking a while to complete. I loved TKEM, I'm loving Pachinko, and I'm into sci-fi, so I'm super excited about this.
One can watch a drama on a shallow level, just skim the surface, take whatever is perceptible to the eyes and ears without thinking too much. Some dramas are made for this type of viewing, all gloss and/or action with no depth. What I like about Only For Love is its depth; you enjoy it more the deeper you look into the 3-dimensional characters and subtle scenes. Of course, some viewers who get its humor effortlessly may be satisfied with its surface form, but to fully appreciate it, looking under the surface brings more delight. For one, the characters are flawed, like all human beings, not cookie-cutter. Understanding why they do what they do is part of the fun. Some of the best romantic moments are not in-your face, e.g. Shi Yan's first attempt at confession using fortune sticks. The humor is mostly not slapstick; unless you understand campy humor, some scenes would go over your head, such as a sweet moment interrupted by a telemarketing call as well as the layers of misunderstandings. If you prefer your dramas simple and shallow and you find yourself getting annoyed by flawed characters, misunderstandings and phone interruptions, this is not for you. Just accept the fact that you have a different taste and leave the drama alone.
To those who were drawn to the story, comedy, romance and the characters, it is an extremely entertaining drama,…
This drama was terribly attacked not only by haters of the actors but by so-called YXHs - netizens who blackmail studios and if not paid, blacken the drama and its actors. Many viewers were swayed by these attacks. One of the attacks was the "0 chemistry" between the leads that many who did not get swayed by the negativity found to be untrue. I've encountered many viewers who confessed to have allowed the attacks to affect their enjoyment of the drama but when they rewatched it, they finally felt the chemistry.
There is standard "misunderstandings" like in those short c-dramas where the other woman frames the female lead…
You nailed this on the head. I usually hate the misunderstanding trope so I've been wondering why I didn't find the misunderstandings in this drama annoying. You're right, it's because they happened organically, not due to the devious schemes of a manipulative character.
Drama has humor that not everyone can get. If you get the humor, you'll likely appreciate it. Try to read the positive reviews as these are opinions of those who got the drama.
Honestly, I can see why it has a 7.9 rating. It's a pretty mediocre drama. The leads had no chemistry, making…
To those who were drawn to the story, comedy, romance and the characters, it is an extremely entertaining drama, reminiscent of Oscar Wilde plays, with a female lead that reminded them of the manipulative and flirtatious Scarlett O'Hara of Gone With The Wind, but with a heart of gold, and a male lead that reminded them of the stoic but warm Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.
ML/FL both are great actors in their own rights. I’ve watched a many of their dramas even before they were so…
I like Dylan and Bai Lu's nuanced acting in this drama. It prevented the comedy from being slapstick and also made the romance not overpower the comedy. Too sweet couples make me gag and I found this cool and classy.
The miscommunication in this is crazy. It's not just between the leads either. If either the male or female friend…
I hate misunderstandings in cdramas but somehow found the misunderstandings in this drama funny. They reminded me of Oscar Wilde plays An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest. Sophisticated comedy.
The older directors at Shi Yan's job, even though his father and uncle say they are good people, really play off…
Interesting and plausible observation. Indeed, this could have been a great addition to the story. They could have gotten rid of one or two couples to make room for this.
Rewatching and up to ep 10... I forgot how much of an a-hole he is to her at the start. Like, to the point that…
Imo, after liking Shu Yi for a long time, Shi Yan has finally planned to pursue her when he requested the newspaper to send her to interview him. So it must have been off putting for him to find her not only a liar (her excuse of borrowing a power bank was obviously a lie) but a wannabe femme fatale too. So he made it clear she can't toy with him and he kept discouraging her from thinking she can flirt and toy with men as she was doing with him.
I watched this last year and just happened to check the ratings, I still believe they dont deserve the low ratings,…
I totally agree, this deserves at least 8.5. This has been a victim of defamation by Chinese netizens who did not get paid to hold off defaming the drama and actors. That is, they blackmailed MangoTV to pay them otherwise the drama/actors will be defamed. This is discussed in more detail here: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/cuo-liao/121285-who-still-believes-in-douban/
And of course, the haters of Dylan, Bai Lu and their CP joined in the attacks.
Nice lighthearted fell-good story, good enough to keep us entertained. The overall acting was good and the production…
Yup, when one watches this drama with the pure intention of understanding it, one will, easily. Unfortunately, there are those who come here just to downrate and attack this drama, complicating matters since those who love this drama try to clarify the bones of contention, like business talks, FL's eccentricity, etc.
Here's more information about that article from SOHU Entertainment media that voted Dylan Wang and Bai Lu as the 2nd and 3rd KINDEST cdrama celebrities:
I just read something so cute and funny, I'd like to share it:"Dylan Wang is so handsome the name 'Wang Hedi'…
Those who have seen Dylan in person say he is much more handsome in person, that the camera does not do him justice. I think it's because the camera cannot fully capture his cheerfulness, magnetism, good heart, strong character, naughty spark and other traits that add to his appeal. You can spot a bit of those during interviews and reality shows, but I'm sure we're still missing a lot. Nevertheless, I'm happy with what I see 😊
Most of hate comments are from cp fans 🙄 😅😂 they hate to see them with other actors like they are objects…
True. Some fans seem to think actors, as well as directors and writers, are their puppets. 🤐 These fans insist on their expectations being satisfied and would not care to understand what the directors, writers and actors are trying to impart. Immature indeed 🤐

Also, a lot of viewers found their chemistry scorching. See this article:
