tbh i doubt anyone will get replaced. It doesn't really matter whether the rumor about them not getting along is true or not. I doubt they have an unlimited budget that would allow them to hire another male lead and re-do a month of work.

You could if you want. But I’m pretty sure all the dramas in this series are self contained, so you can watch them without needing too much context about what happened before.
Watched the first four episodes and I am hooked. The story is quite intriguing and intense, with lots of twists and turns, and things that are not what they seem. I was a bit skeptical about AI Mi, but I was pleasantly surprised - her acting is really good. If nothing bad happens, she'll probably be one of the top actresses in the future.
Although I can't say they were doing themselves a favour by hiring such a young actress. The ratings are gonna drop for sure cause of this, some people won't watch because of this... Doesn't matter whether the story is good or not...
One of the funniest Chinese variety shows I've seeing. Great cast. My only criticism, is that i feel like traveling segment was very rushed. I feel like they could've just stayed in Italy for the whole season, and it would be better.

The novel, i think, was completed back in 2024, and adaptation covered all major arcs. Zhou Munan plans to continue expanding the universe though.. So either he has the novel written already, just not published yet, or it's gonna be a standalone script. Either way, I think it will probably take place before Su Changhe's death, or he will somehow magically come back to life. Cause removing such a cool character won't be well received lol.
"Everyone"? Nah, just haters trying to ruin drama ratings, cause they have nothing else do in their life, so they get upset over nothing and try to make a controversy out of nothing. Generally, a very typical situation for cdrama world. Quite often such "controversies" are also intentional and being paid by somebody for whatever reason. There is even a term for this, Internet water army, lol.
The editing does feel a bit choppy at times, but otherwise it's really good.
I don't know why some people say that ML's acting is off. I feel like he's supposed to act this way; you're supposed to look at him and think he's behaving weirdly or unnaturally, that's the point. At least, that's my impression after watching the first two episodes.
