Nobody said ”10!” LOL. I got so hung up on that. So I'm saying it for him - TEN!!! TEN!!!! Freaking TENNN!!…
I rated every episode a 10 and so far the full thing is marked as a 10. But Tao Zi childless after 5 years is really pissing me off now. So I'd say it will be 9.5
Best way out for her character would've been getting killed while trying to stab either FL or ML or like in TLB trying to burn everyone with her. Simply going mad is such a lazy way out(it was wrapped up in under a minute of a side scene)
I think the plot where Great General Cui going mad is believable as he once was a great commander who commanded…
It was difficult to gauge her emotional state from start to finish. At one point I was blaming makeup artist.
But in the aftermath of army disbandment and father going odd.I feel her behaviour an actions we're very well done. Like at this point she lost all her power. Before she considered herself at least an equal to Li Ní. Now she is completely dependent on him for protection. So she arms herself as much as possible and is trying to figure out her options. It does look like she is almost in catatonic state.
So I'm glad she didn't curl into a ball and cried herself to sleep or started to cling to stronger person that would make pitiful.Subsequent scenes of her relationship to me would also feel wrong. Instead they showed her as a person down on her luck but unbroken and untamed.
Xu Kai's face is so expressive it's hard to compete with for most. He'll get a twitch and it can be interpreted as 6 different emotions😁
Gu is not obliged to sit back and watch how someone is taking away the man she loves and the position she is actually…
I didn't say Gu's behaviour is easy to watch or that I approve of it but I understand her motivation and can't really blame her for it. Gu's defeat came at the very end when her father failed to get Cuí Lin killed. So she played the game until the end and almost succeeded in getting promoted. If Cuí Lin learned protocols and adapted to them it would not be her anymore ...now that would be a real tragedy.Thats what the old princess was warning her about. Gu didn't have to lose "herself" she was already bred to be a courtier.
Of course it's not math.Everyone is entitled to an opinion

it's possible that scenes were cut or swapped. He willingly agreed to disband the army because he was convinced by logical arguments and he thought it through. Obviously it was extremely emotional time so maybe it's possible that it hit him hard later. I'm not a psychologist maybe it's possible. To me it seemed like a ploy to add tension to FL&ML's upcoming wedding. And perhaps to give Magic Doctor some screen time.
Ended up watching last 6 eps without subtitles missed out on sweet dialogues. Ending was just about alright.
Tao Zi and Chang'er decided to get married at the same time. So FL&ML have 2 kids probably 5&6 yo. Is Tao Zi barren? wtf with this omission? Their relationship had the most normal progression and should've been concluded normally as well. Or did they spend 5years collecting herbs and shit?
Miss Gu going mad was not entirely believable such a strong character should've been killed.Great General going mad again hard to believe.
LCF's only reasonable choice always was to kidnap her and keep her in the basement for a decade. Fair ending.
Magic doctor firefly scene...fsake.floating CGI made me light a cig & reach for a drink .
Everything else excellent. Pregnancy & birth scene worry ... Rare to see. Will binge it when I get back home. Well enjoyed the whole thing.fast moving and didn't have things I hate in dramas.
Why did the general had such a terrible ending 😥😢, I’m so upset of the way turned out😥, it could have…
Me too. They probably needed it for emphasis that she is now all alone and defenseless and she has to protect her father as well. Also it gives her a reason to blame marriage to Li Ní for it. Like her father giving up his army wasn't sacrifice she was willing to make. Would love to see if it turned out just an act or him snapping out of it at some point.
This miss Gu character is so persistent that I'm wondering what if she channel it to other great things that doesn't…
Gu is not obliged to sit back and watch how someone is taking away the man she loves and the position she is actually a better fit. I'll copy paste from below:
Unrequited love" is "unrequited" for now. It might not be the case tomorrow. There is no reason for her to sit back and say "oh, the man I love and that woman make such a lovely couple". Up to the point of her being OK with killing General Cui, her approach to split ML & FL was reasonable.
Gu also knows she is a better fit for crown princess because, she knows the court/procedures, her father has strong support there. So as far being able to push forward any crown prince she would be far greater help to achieve any of his aims.
Although, I hate "love triangles" in dramas. But it is realistic, and no one is under obligation to avoid making moves if properly motivated. Again, given the right circumstances any "unrequited love" might become quite the opposite.
In dramas, I hate love triangles and silly misunderstandings. Here I would've preferred for both Miss Gu & LCF to be absent because story is strong enough without them being there. But we have what we have. So far they were handled if not well at least not as irritating as in other series I've seen.
Episode 34 was really hard to watch. Cui Lin's character needs A REALITY CHECK. For the past few eps, her character…
They didn't plot for him to become crown prince.General wasn't too keen on Lí Ní becoming crown prince even after meeting him. Her objective is world peace by her design. She also didn't plan on any Li's children to be emperors and despised that whole family...until she met Li Ní. That's like in ep2.In fairness I expected her to know that Cuí army is a threat to the Court once her plans changed to include him. Her behaviour now is similar to the time Cuí army double crossed his army with LCF and she gave him time to chill for awhile. That's what LiNi does now.
What do you mean competitive? Competition meaning that Li Ni is a jerk who is juggling between the 2 girls and…
I disagree with such a simplistic assessment. "Reasonably competitive" means she did not do something "evil" to achieve her goal. Gu is chasing the man she loves and status she wants. Li Ni is chasing a woman he loves "now" which might not be the case in 5 years time either she dies or does something stupid. Again, "unrequited love" is "unrequited" for now it might not be the case tomorrow. So my comment was around what does she have to do to qualify as "evil/crazy" like LCF. So being OK with killing General Cui, might be that line. But up to that point her approach to split up the too was rather reasonable. There is no reason for her to sit back and say "oh, the man I love and that woman make such a lovely couple".
I was wondering for awhile what does miss Gu had to do in her fight for ML to qualify as evil. Agreeing to have General Cui to be killed must've been it. Although if scenes of her being ignored after her attempted suicide and her agreement to Cui being killed I'd still would've qualified her being reasonably competitive 😁 I felt so sorry for the general. he knew it was his only option bar rebellion and still he lost the plot in the end. I'm just glad that wedding took place so soon afterwards without waiting for "1 more mission far away".
They are releasing an express package. The schedule stays the same for non package buyers, unless they watch it…
It's odd to modify release dates for episodes if they are not available to everyone. Like today do I plan to be unavailable for 2 hours or for the rest of the day? 🤔

"Women like the idea of having a man next ..."
I hope it's not a guy who wrote it, else he has a tough road ahead of him.
