ml is a general whose age supposed to be 28, the female is a young wife who is supposed to be 17. hence choosing actors of exactly the age as required by the script is appropriate provided that they fit the storyline etc., etc.,

i see nothing inappropriate in that pairing so i don't have to come up with reasons or alternatives: 17yo plays a 17yo and 28yo plays a 28yo grand by me.
