Oh but I did.

"Are you the one" was fine up to e25, after my interest started to wane but it was still OK. Then I rage quit after his "apology" in e32.

"The Rise of Ning", for me, was alright up to about e22 (24?), then I just lost interest and decided not to force myself as I did with AYTO.

"Si Jin" was alright throughout, but now I'm huffing, puffing and shaking my head for the last 3 episodes... 😒 , that's why I was annoyed and on the verge of rage quitting with just two episodes to go.

Anyway, I think he is a good actor, but the scripts he gets probably don't align well with me. Hence, next time I see his new role I'll wait until it finished airing and carefully scrutinize comments section before making a start.

It's actually a very difficult question. Short answer is : I don't know. But I was watching it while it was on air I think it was around e24 I realised that I don't care about the story and I'm not emotionally engaged or invested in any characters . It's likely I just wasn't target audience for it. Something like that

Maybe. I'm just evaluating my enjoyment on aggregate and so far, although my expectations were positive result wasn't as satisfying.

That story is not easy viewing but so far I haven't seen him in anything better but I'm sure it will happen 😁

The parts in LYF that he had he did well. Hence why I bothered to watch new releases that came out. I really think he is versatile and I really expect more from him. It's just that it's the 3rd show where it's reaching finale and I feel like dropping it...

Although I loved the warzone of LYF2 I don't want to drag it here if you know what I mean.

The man is good a good actor. So much potential. But after LYF... I just can't describe my level of disappointment in his roles in everything I've seen after CX. I'm not team CX but this is the 3rd show where I was like "come on don't f'it up"... here we go again.

I might check out his earlier stuff but,as ML going forward I'd have to be tied to a mast 😁

when I tried watching the rise of Ning I thought it was just bad script. When I saw are you the one and dropped it on e32 I thought director's fault. Now I'm on E38 of si jin... I don't know what to think. Although he is a common denominator there's probably something wrong with me.

I'm not committing myself to anything but I think if I see ZWI as main lead again... I'm going to avoid it.
Caveat,maybe he is better in modern dramas, but I don't watch them so I'll never know.

there;s the legend of condor heroes which was being released last year in parts to avoid the 40ep limit/constraint. but after first 30 eps were released tencent might've shelved it. and there's the "the great hero" movie which was supposed to be release. honestly i hope this is not it (hard to say, for me, given that it's on both iqi & tencent sites)

lol, same here, i'll watch anything condor heroes. though i got to admit this version feels very plastic. next step down is probably a cartoon.

In fairness XLN it's not an easy role to play.And if it's really actress' debut... well done.

😂 as I recall it's way worse than that. To top it off,when they become king and queen (or whatever) she proposes to split up their kids and send one of them to a different city so that they wouldn't feel threatened by one another ... super plan 🤭
