All the actors you mentioned are traffic actors. Li Qin didnt attend if I'm not mistaken. Yibo just accept his…
Thanks for the info. It sounds like a bizarre incident alright. I guess assigning that seat number was organiser's provocation of sorts, so he handled it well.
She does a kind of a "side-bow" a few times when dancing. And in the final song edit as well. I guess it's some super famous pop move or something because recently I saw a few stickers with same move. Does anyone know where it comes from?
Finished it again. No chance of seeing anything better this year so yeah at least for me definitely the best. Kinda reconciled with mofo, although still think he is the weakest link, That "XZ left such beautiful starry sky do you still want to watch it?" just makes me wanna 🤮 Saving grace there was her just looking back and saying"no!" Although I would prefer if she also slapped him a few times and asked him if there's something wrong with him. That said there were some solid moments when he is possessed by FS so I guess they just made a whipping boy out of him. So I still regard him as a fly in a tasty soup.
Other than that from this year, for me with highest rewatch was microdrama "stick to the script" and first third of "fateful love".
ah cool. well he fell in love with someone. because of that he lost his powers and started to reincarnate like all the other mortals do. at each turn he is presented with an opportunity to be with the one he loves. problems is that although both choices always look alike, the soul of the person he loves could be in a different body and the punishment is that he always chooses wrong one*. So yes he is former god, he got banished, he always suffers because of original love, and he reincarnates as a mortal....
*there;s a bit of ambiguity, like even if he makes the right choice it won't be happy outcome.
there are better answers below, but yeah it's not easy on Qingyue
Please don’t lie, it’s embarrassing at this point and looks desperate just like this article. Saying that…
Anyway, based on style and subject matter they seem to target similar audience, but: LLTG is fairly light, funny, slower and more focused on family relationships. MYTJ feels a lot darker, fast paced more FL centric, so might not be for everyone. I asked just in case my assessment is wrong, but I probably should've looked at your profile first.
As far as large number of episodes could be a hindrance. For me it was way easier to plan to work MJTY into my viewing and its pace was excellent. Also, I've seen a few comments around about KDrama watchers being put off by large number of episodes since they are used to fewer but longer.
As I understand the line between A+ & S is very blurry and mainly really down to investment into marketing & presence of top tier actors. And yeah casting is good in LLTG, there are more actors & there are more episodes so yeah it kinda needed a higher budget. That said, MJTY looks fantastic and it doesn't dwell on too many side issues (like family relationships etc). So, yeah they spent their money well.
Even if LLTG initially had a massive marketing push; overtime it doesn't matter much if a show doesn't deliver. The hype died down ages ago so it's no longer a major factor.
If two dramas target the same demographic/viewer segment, then yes you can compare dramas which have high disparity in budget & talent. We do it all the time. If both look good, engaging and enjoyable no one is going to run to see what was the budget. And it's definitely more fair than comparing works from completely unrelated genres (Like, Love of Thousand years is also a Xianxia ... no sense)
Lol, it's not going to help even if I read it 20 more times. Still feels like a list of excuses which ironically MJTY doesn't need.

What happened back then? I got into cdrama's proper in 10/2022 but I don't recall any controversy as far as those 2 titles go.
Anyway, the target audience is different for both so comparing viewing figures of the time - just like now - is like comparing apples and oranges. If to take Xianxia audience LBFAD should be compared to The Last Immortal in which case it would be LBFAD. For LLTG I think it should probably be compared with My Journey to You in which case LLTG is definitely it. What do you think?
TSOPG is not for people who are just looking for fun. So it's just a matter of taste.
Eh, I'd say it's more to do with the mood of a person watching. There's no point in starting something like this when you feel rushed to just tick it off the list. Although, LGEF is lighter, I feel saturated by this premise at the moment. So although both of them looked like I'm going to like them, they are going back to PTW until better times.
Now now, and how do you know that those comments are from Zhao Lusi fans? You’re so sure about it, but there’s…
Well, not sure why it would annoy you that much. If we consider "best" purely by popularity that statement is not far from the truth. She always features around the top of all polls & charts.
Anyway, I like them both, though they are not my favourites.
For a laugh asked ChatGPT for 2024's most popular & successful.
Same names in places 1 - 7. 1) Yang Zi (because of 3 times Weibo queen & Olympics... surprisingly no mention of LYF) 2) Zhao Lusi (2022 top 1 of those born after 1995 & 2023 accolades) 3) Esther Yu (2022 being in top 4 of those born after 1995 & LBFAD) 4) Dilraba Dilmurat (well she came 3rd in "most beautiful" ... *shrug*) 5) Zhao Liying 6) Bailu 7) Shen Yue
Most Successful 8 - 9:
8) Xing Fei 9) Guan Xiaotong 10) Song Zu'er
Most Popular 8 - 9: 8) Yang Mi 9) Xing Fei 10) Ju Jingyi
"These actresses have made significant contributions to the Chinese entertainment industry in 2024, showcasing their talent and earning widespread recognition."
top 5 chinese actresses which are likely to achieve global recognition in 2025 1) Bailu (face of major brands, etc. and iqiyi global embassador) 2) Dilraba (she has some releases in 2025) 3) Zhao Lusi 4) Esther Yu 5) Yang Zi
I tried various questions even leading ones but still only two of my faves appear but in what I think very wrong places 🥹. But Lusi & Esther are consistently on the list... just saying... maybe the way isn't that long.
Anyway I agree that comparing these two shows is simply insane.

Happy New Year everyone.

Though, I was pretty surprised about that one:
