They did some good shows, not all is bad :) I watch everything, so I don't have expectations and don't care about tailers which make the show mostly look better than it will be. At least this show has more substance compared to "We Are" which is the run of the mill enemy to lovers trope while the director already did much better series like "My Only 12%", "Until We Meet Again" and "Absolute Zero". "Perfect10 Liners" comes out soon too, maybe that will be better :) The director of this show did only paricipate in our skyy 2, so I am surprised he got it that well so far :)

Yes, so far the story is better than expected :) And I agree, it's not forced yet... Will see what the next episode will bring... I'm mostly pestimistic regarding GMM-TV shows, they mostly ruin the story at some point. Of course there are exeptions to this "rule" :) While not earth shattering it has a cute story so far.
printf "the context of which people do not show their emotions because they were teached to surpress them" if defined culture You meant a perl statement, right? 🤣
This character also seems to have a social anxiety disorder for anyone he looks up or in his new acting workplace. We don't know the reason of it, because the background information is missing and I doubt it will be explained. I think the acting transports well that he is very insecure resulting in his stiffness.
Seems to be on of the GMM-TV shows which is not ruined by product placements (so far)... Why they needed to do a love-triangle is an other questions... maybe they had no other ideas 🤣
they did NOT replace the actor... they just made him looking a bit older and vica versa, so an other actor would have been the right choice. And then we would have needed more episodes. As you remember he was there when Askorn was born...
I'm sorry for being extremely off topic with this question but are there any character-driven j-bls you'd recommend?…
Also depends on your mood... some are lighter such as "My School President" which unfortunatly is a school romance, but has incredible music in it. Or you go for the heavy stuff, like "180 degrees..." which is controversial for many, and has a very bad ending but great acting. Or you go for something inbetween. The Novelist Trilogy and Utsukushii Kare are on the heavy side, where the later does need to be watched completely and maybe more than once to understand some of the subtle nuances hidden in the series which not all people get. The shows will not run away, so take your time but invest in each series even if it's sometimes uncomfortable to watch.

Nah, the manga is bad in contrast for me... after the meet in the bar they do have sexual contact which is so boring. This series is much more realistic, sensible and they did change the story in a good way. What to recommand is a question of taste. You can check my recommended shows where there are some not in a school/college setting. But if you watch for example "Life: Love on the Line" it goes from school to the deathbed. I don't mind the setting if the story is good. "My Personal Weatherman" does not play in a college setting per se, but you get flashbacks there, because the story of the MLs started there. You can watch "Mood Indigo, The Novelist and The Novelist: Playback" in that order to get a grander story but there is a college boy in it :) "Perfect Propose" also has flashback to childhood, so there are few stories without school or college. The only two are of course "Cherry Magic" aka "30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii" and the movie " Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!: The Movie" and "Old Fashion Cupcake". If you want a relaxing viewing expierence I would recommad "Bokura no Shokutaku" and if you don't mind a potential bad ending "Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu" can be interesting, but it did start at college too :) The problem in general is, there are not that many japanese shows, so I would also recoomand to expand your horizon and if you agree with my taste, my list may be a good pointer for you.
