Why drop a three episode series? That's awkward.

This BL is tired to me. They're sweet to each other but not enough happening and don't really care for the plot,…

I tried to stick with it because JBLs have always been my favorite, but I'm done. I see that many commenters identify…
"Because I know so little about their backgrounds and motivations, all of their actions feel scripted or forced." Don't see it that way. Of course you don't know about their backgrounds but you can guess that Yuki is reclusive and closed off. Asami is more open and from the episodes so far, he does know Yuki and he has feelings for him since college. That's only subtle hinted but if you watch it, you can see it. Why he didn't act on his feelings, we will see. So yes, you did miss that :)

I'm sorry i've watched A LOT of BL dramas. But i'm just NOT feeling this one for some reason. I'm gay myself and…
neither of them are "sissies"... it's good that it does not feature stereotypes which are annoying as hell... I also don't like words like "sissies" "real man" and shit... Can we agree there are all humans? Why use such word if you are gay yourself? A series is fiction, not everything must be "realistic" for 100%. But also I find it quite realistic if you have been a reclusive closed-off person. And of course this show is manga based (which was not the best), so you have some artistic style coming from it like the thoughts of Yuki.

it's not :) it's just awkward especially for western culture...
That was also not meant for you, it was a general observation. It would be nice, not to think it's adressed to you personaly. I spoke about the japanese culture in general.

My standards are different then yours. And you can watch my list and read my reviews and of course, you don't need to agree with me.

nope :) everyone on any talkshows hugs... sorry, that's silly, especially if you don't know the person. That's what I mean. It has nothing to do with you personally.

Because they have grown up that way. Why do you believe in a god or allah or budda or someone else? Because you were parented that way. The more extrem it gets, the more brain washed children get. To overcome your parenting is very hard to do. And very few people encourage you to think for yourself. To question WHAT your parents, family and the education system told you. Japan was always very strict and conservative and changes do take much longer, but they are changing. So the question is not what they are defending from, the question is when they can brake the parenting of things like "never show your true feelings and open up to other humans". So I can't answer your question, because it's nothing which can be explained. If you can't think for yourself, you will never have a chance to change yourself.

There were some good thai BLs made last year and the year before. But very good series are rare of thousands of series published every year. We should be lucky not to watch a bad one :)

I understand you, but also I understand the culture more ...
Hugging is only for special occassions, that's not like the US where hugging means nothing. But meanwhile even that is changing there slowly but surely...

So I understand why it's frustrating... but that's the charm for me. You can watch thai BLs where there is log of hugging, kissing and sex but with bland stories and lot's of commercial :)

Protecting yourself means to build up a wall around you. It's a defensive posture not a submissive one.

At least I agree with most title on your list :)

PS.: "Love is like a Xat" IS disappointing for me. So I hope this show will get better the farther they are which is prefered to beginning strong and ending weak like "Last Twilight"

I would argue there are SOME good JBLs, but this is not one of them. Dropping during episode 2. Yuck.I put together…
1. the thai version is superficial commercial trash, not catching the charm of the japanese version. if you mean better by production quality and eye-candy, yes, otherwise nope. Jinta be over-acted was really hard to watch.
2. all three installments together made sense.
3. totally disagree. Both shows are very unusual and very well done.

They are emotional, but there culture tries always to hide it. But even there culture does change. It may be frustrating for you, but it's not for me. If you have grown up in such a culture it's hard to change. I don't agree with "submissive" it's more "protecting themselves".
So, we agree to disagree and I like weired stories :)

they have nice bodies for sure... face is a matter of taste... but that's not even important in a story.

That's boring and there's not even eye candy to help me to get through this.

Am I the only one having fun with this series? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think this is not a good show,…
at least ists mostly cute.... even if the story and romance leaves a lot to be desired....

1.0 is a bit harsh... it's really not good, but it's not like "Crazy Handsome Rich" which was unbearable to watch (for me).

you rate everything with 1 and give overall 6? that does not make any sense whatsoever.
