IMHO, the only Chinese actress for me that has really strong acting chops is Liu Yifei.
Even if we look into A-list - Dilraba, Yang Mi, Yang Zi, Zhao Liying and Liu Shishi, they all are typecast just like ZLS or Bai Lu. It’s a sad reality of Chinese film industry, men are given variety of options and women struggle to get away from their type.

Well, third prince didn’t really fall for her, he is technically in love with the soul that swapped into her.

All fantasy Cdramas have ridiculous plots, that typically has femme fatale FL who turns brain of all men around her into mush.

I’m just amazed that production crew keeps filming Blossom stories with Zoey Meng. Did CDrama now assign the word in title to specific actresses? Zoey Meng is Blossom, Wang Chu Ran is fireworks…

So the only thing you find unbelievable is 2 out of 5 princes falling for her? Not the souls swap, not assassinations twice a day, not a prince who is sick, but still can defeat healthy martial artists, not wild bees curing color blindness?

It’s how the industry works.

I didn’t realize it was Jeremy Xu at first! It’s an interesting twist since he was ML at Royal Rumors with Zoey Meng.

I’m only on ep 4, and character development seem to be evenly split between ML and FL.
At least, unlike First Jasmine, neither ML nor FL have deep mental health struggles.

The both experienced massive childhood traumas and developed different coping mechanism, so it’s pretty realistic that they can’t understand and express emotions well.
She is angry, and she loves him. This combo often reads as hate.

Well, her childhood was effed up, her mother never showed any empathy, and was very narcissistic towards fl, and then ml was always hiding the truth from her. How was she supposed to learn empathy?

Well, they both grew up in toxic family, so it’s realistic for them to be toxic, they haven’t seen what healthy relationship look like.

Fulaxida idea was good, it’s just not a hyperscaler startup, It won’t cause such a hype, not to mention wrapping it into hotel chain IPO.

Since WCR was in both dramas I thought it was funny how she moved from one fireworks to another. Sorry if my joke was too subtle.
This show was also riddled with investment inaccuracies. I work in IB and it was all complete BS. Don’t even get me started on some social media videos messing with IPO, and agriculture app company being the hottest ticket in town. It was also propaganda to highlight how much better it is for Chinese companies to list in China instead of US, how bad insider trading is, and how everyone needs to start investing in Chinese agriculture since China has to export food to feed it’s huge population.

The only reason to watch would be romance, and YanYan - WCR romance was a least hot.

Speed and Love doesn’t have very believable storyline either, just saying.
And it’s normal for teenager to move on to new relationship. How many of your childhood friends are you in touch with?
But I agree that the whole relationship arch is he is a savior and she is a damsel in distress, and their reunification dynamics years later isn’t believable at all
