I feel the same way as you. I wish some of those twists actually made sense and were not so rushed that we literally miss if we blink. They overused the ruse troop too much for my liking. Once was enough for a 28 eps show.

Watching episode 25 and it feels like the writer realized later on he backed himself into a corner with the whole rivalry between the male leads because the whole "it's a ruse!" thing is really hard to buy unless you suspend disbelief completely. There's no way they could've planned anything when ml was out of town and limao immediately reacted to grand tutor's death immediately setting the "plan" in motion. Also ml reaction upon finding out his family was arrested was real, there was no enemy on sight. And when exactly did they get together to plan every detail including the extent of his injuries during the execution scene. Sorry, I love the show but this episode threw me off. Female lead also didn't deserve to be fooled like that by the two of them. I feel like the writer didn't know what to do with limao towards the end and wrote everything off as an act.

I haven't caught up with all the episodes yet, but as far as episode 20 he didn't want the throne, he doesn't want fl to live confined in the palace either and honestly he's almost died for the country several times. He deserved to be free.

I haven't watched yet. Can anyone tell me if ml and fl end up together with a nice ending? that's really all I care about 🫶

I'm on. episode 14 and I have a question. Are the leads divorced or not? she went looking for divorce papers, then found her ribbon. Then time skip and they are separated, she won't even write to him. So I'm confused. The drama is so good but the pace and editing can be a little odd sometimes.

I want to watch it, but coming off blossoms of power and finding out female lead is in love with someone else at the start and god knows for how long, I'm almost giving up. Why is romancing so hard this summer in cdramaland?
