I feel you, for me it's region blocked for both Iqiyi and Viki, and I also have the premium VIP subscription for Iqiyi. I am not getting a VPN since the monthly amount I'm paying for various platforms is already crazy lol so I'm watching LBL on free sites unfortunately. I wish they made it easier to watch my cdrmas in a way that I could support my favourite actors but oh well...

As far as I remember, there’s the whole SML arc where both leads are written a bit too silly. She genuinely believes the SML likes her, they start going out, the ML gets jealous but refuses to communicate, and it’s all played for comedy. Personally, I found it overly goofy and unnecessarily drawn out. This storyline could’ve been wrapped up in one or two episodes, but instead it was stretched much longer. Watching it while the drama was airing made it feel even worse—this arc alone took three to four days since they were airing one episode per day, which really tested my patience. There is no noble idiocy or the return of an ex lover or anything

Facts. He is my favourite Chinese actor and he's a genuinely great guy. Can't say I can watch all his dramas, but most of them yeah :)
