For other actors, she mostly gets equal billing, even with her latest movie with TJC, she got equal billing (and TJC is a big traffic star). That means she has good backing (it is known that she's Zhou Xun's student and backed by her). So her team won't let her accept TWOT and become 2nd billing to CZY, they look down on him... that's why they rejected the script.

TWOT is not male or female centric, it's a romantic novel (with anti-war theme) which focuses on both FL/ML characters... male centric is more like Joy of Life, all those martial arts dramas without much love line plot (SF4 can be considered male centric too because the story revolves around the ML))

because this a CCTV program so the fans don't want CZY to get into troubles with CCTV. these footage are leaked contents so maybe there's strict regulations there...
