I’ve seen a few comments saying "The Demon Hunter’s ROMANCE" should tone down the romance and focus on the fantasy. Seriously? This is a beautifully written love story, and that romance is the heart of the show. Many of Xuan Ye and Ban Xia’s decisions are driven by their increasing love for each other. Take that away, and the whole drama falls apart. The romance isn’t just a subplot—it is the plot.

This is such a well-written romance. I hope Banxia remembers Xuan Ye's confession.

Some of the best romances evolve from a foundation of trust and emotional development. This drama follows this blueprint well.

Song Zu Er acting as the creepy puppet girl Wu Niang and the frightened Ban Xia is great acting.

For many of these dramas, we need a "Simp Male Lead" tag or a "Female Lead lives her Life While The Male Lead Simps" tag so I know to stay away.

Feminism tells women they should NEVER sacrifice their careers, (or their personal vendettas) for love, marriage, and family. Men, on the other hand, are expected to sacrifice everything. I would like to see a script that explores a woman giving it all for love. But there are too many feminists (including male feminists) involved in writing those scripts.

Why did the ratings drop so fast? MD rating system is a joke.

Yeah, it's weird. The drama is actually good. I've seen worst dramas with higher ratings after 10 episodes.

The development between the leads is very well done.

I much prefer a female lead who isn’t necessarily strong or a mastermind, but who’s kind and shows incredible bravery in life-or-death situations—over the cold, bloodthirsty Mary Sue types who magically girlboss their way through every dangerous situation.

Ban Xia saying "Xuanye" every chance she gets gives the same energy as Xuan Ji constantly calling out "Si Feng." lol
