Totally agree!! And they want her progress to be completely linear, once she is in a relationship, all her trauma…
It's not extremely realistic. She was already healing and progressing. Having her run away again is just a dumb screenwriter's idea of adding more angst to the drama.
The reason people are saying "poor San Yan" is because the writers made the poor choice of ruining the FLās…
She was already developing the strength. She already did her noble idiocy thing and it made her more miserable. Her running away again was pointless. It added NOTHING to the story. It was added simply to add extra angst to the drama. Nothing more.
Gonna re-use my same comment because the same thing applies:@Riya I don't think you guys understand what it means…
Give us a fucking break with your lecturing. It's BAD writing. They only adding this shit for some extra angst. It adds NOTHING to the story. It's dumb. The female lead WAS healing. She was progressing as a character. They destroyed all of that.
The reason people are saying "poor San Yan" is because the writers made the poor choice of ruining the FLās…
Thereās no logical reason for her to run away again. Sheās already been down that path, and it didnāt help her heal. It made her sadder and lonelier. So she mustered the courage, came back to reclaim what she lost. Throughout the story, we see her growing, learning that she has supportive friends and a boyfriend who will fight for her. But in the end, we were robbed of that beautiful character growth just for some cheap angst. Thereās a reason this part wasnāt in the novelāitās objectively bad writing. Itās just pointless. Anyone defending this crap is supporting bad writing.
People saying they're gonna reunite so just wait for the next episode Don't get the point.. It's not that we're…
BINGO!! She's no longer a child. Through the entire drama we're shown her progression as a character. It was all for nothing. This dumb screenwriter destroyed her character progression for some extra angst and some people here are defending this crap.
Totally agree!! And they want her progress to be completely linear, once she is in a relationship, all her trauma…
Yes, she's selfish and a coward. And San Yang is one of he most unrealistic boyfriend I've seen. No ONE is that patient. Yi Fan has an entire network of friends and a very dependable person in San Yang ready to help her. Yet she chooses to run away, again. The first time she ran it DIDN'T solve any thing. It made her sadder and lonelier. Right when we though she was growing and progressing as a character, she regressed. It's dumb writing.
Whenever a drama is adpated, it dosent mean they will follow everything, adpating a novel means some parts will…
Fair enough. Often fans don't mind creative changes when they're good. You'll hear complaints when the changes are unnecessary and objectively worse than the source material.
I can't believe you guys just watched a heartbreaking episode about Wen Yifan's trauma, but all you guys are talking…
The reason people are saying "poor San Yan" is because the writers made the poor choice of ruining the FLās character development just for the sake of adding unnecessary angst. She went from a sympathetic character we all rooted for to someone frustrating, cowardly, and annoying. When she ran away the first time, it didnāt solve anything. So, for her to do it again makes absolutely no sense. Good character development would show her facing her trauma differently this time, but instead, they threw all of that away just for pointless angst. If you canāt see how poorly written these last two episodes are, then I donāt know what to say.
Whenever a drama is adpated, it dosent mean they will follow everything, adpating a novel means some parts will…
The problem isnāt that changes were made; itās that they were changed to something poorly executed and downright stupid. If the changes you make donāt enhance the original material, then donāt make them at all.
Same iām a bit mixed on it, its good angst though 𤣠like on one hand I get why she ran away, on the other…
It doesnāt make any sense. The writers decided to derail Yi Fanās character development just to add unnecessary angst. Yi Fanās journey of coming back and trying to move on with her lifeāslowly reclaiming everythingāis the kind of heroine you can really root for. But the Yi Fan who runs away again, just when we thought she was strong enough to confront her fears, comes off as a frustrating, cowardly character thatās hard to like. Whoever wrote this script is a moron.
Based on the comments, this director should really stick to directing and leave the screenwriting to someone elseā¦
Itās absolute nonsense, all for the sake of adding pointless angst. We empathized with Yi Fan because we understood that it would take time for her to face her struggles. The story set up this journey of growth, where sheās getting stronger, reclaiming her life, her love, and her friendships. As the audience, we were invested in her character arc and rooting for her progression. But thenāout of nowhereāit all gets yanked away. Everything we thought was real turns out to be a mirage, and sheās back at square one. No longer is she the heroine facing her fears and growing stronger; sheās just a coward who ran away from them again. Itās beyond frustrating.
Exactly! They basically destroyed her character at the end. Such a stupid writing decision.
Instead of having the audience root for the heroine for triumphing over her past trauma, they regressed her character. Yi Fan has basically learned NOTHING and has regressed. This is how you destroy a character. The audience are no longer rooting for her. They're annoyed by her.
