BL will probably never be fully released from it's problematic roots, queer fantasy by women to women.
They can barely identify abusive relationships and the fact that it's two hot guys making out makes it even more difficult for them, they can't fully connect to men's pain and men's issues so abuse is overlooked and accepted.

I'm really heartbroken to see so many girls who have no sense of self respect, they don't know what healthy relationships look like and can't even identify abuse and literal SA happening in front of their eyes.

It's probably a BL Phenomenon though, because it's two guys it makes even harder for some to identify that guys can be SAd too.

Sex is just a shallow primal instinct. People have casual detached sex all the time. One could get horny at any second by any random person of their preferred gender.

It tells nothing about how much the characters love and respect each other as individual beings rather than just bodies to play with.

When people love each other so deeply they're even willing to let go of their primal urges and stay together until they're ugly, old and unable to satisfy their urges anymore.

So no, let's keep having as much puritan queer representation in shows.
We're already a marginalized hypersexualized group labelled as sexual deviants.
We don't need more sex but more representation that queer love can surpass physicality.

If you want to see queer people getting it on, there are millions of +18 videos on millions of +18 websites for you.
