yeah we have lots of common plot like this. there are exceptions like hidden love.
Friends to lovers is never uncomfortable to watch. Its only natural. It has happened to everyone...but your brother's best friend liking you ...especially when the girl acts like a 16 year old...urrh! So uncomfortable to watch.
I have to say...the ML is slightly one one dimensional in this (in hidden love, both were one dimensional)...and the ONLY reason he seems to have such charisma and dimension is because of BJT. I wasn't happy with Victor Ma not being the lead but I only watched because I guve a chance to all BJT dramas and he seriously added a lot to the character. By ep 16, I couldn't imagine anyone else as Sang Yan
I think that comment is a bit simplistic. A novel that really should have stayed that for those that pick to read…
Its simply a romance and he is her friend, confidante and family. Besides, she is courting him and she chose him much before any of this happened. How is he SAVIOUR? He is just a decent human who loves her.

I am not talking about miscommunication but Hidden Love's plot in general. The whole babysitter trope...Older guy young ...brother's friend... young girl is from ancient China. People who have watched wuxia and xianxia will know it except its not creepy at all in those dramas but it was uncomfortable to watch in hidden love

Hidden love is the most common plot...since ages. People who are new to cdramas probably don't know it. I foundit to be extremely cringey and very uncomfortable at times

Filler content? So you wanted it to BE THE CENTRE of the drama? Like a crime thriller? How can a victim of SA be in a cute romance ? Why is she not howling all the time...why does she have ONE PERSON that she feels comfortable with nd attracted to? Why is she not su*c*dal and depressed even though she has a tons of psychological issues. WHY IS SHE STILL CARRYING ON a fairly normal life with her traumas when she should have given up on love altogether. HOW CAN WE IMAGINE A VICTIM OF SA IN A ROMANCE? She's not supposed to be a romantic lead. She can be a victim and a victim only

Not really. SA is incredibly common for women unfortunately. But it doesn't mean that those women don't have romance and true love in their life. Its incredibly realistic in that sense. People think victims of SA are uncommon and must be shown in a crime documentary or revenge drama or some sad and dark movie. I agree with this comment. PEOPLE HATE TO SEE WOMEN HAPPY. Do you even know that almost ALL WOMEN have at least ONE EXPERIENCE of SA in their lives. So, the romance should be dead in the world
Yes. I can barely remember what the music was. Less memorable! I have been watching cdramas for 10 years now. I have heard really good music in wuxia, xianxias and modern dramas.
Lmao aside from him being too ugly for a lead role in a romance drama. He was convicted of fraud for military…
He is not ugly at all (he's incredibly attractive as an actor and totally stole the limelight for me in Link) but i get that there are few people who have those weird and ugly beauty standards. Secondly, he isn't the only actor embroiled in millitary scandal...there's tons and a lot of them are pretty popular right now. Thirdly, I can sympathise with all the actors and idols who don't want to get forced into the millitary considering how non seriously they take SA and bullying cases. Many idols were bullied and a young, extremely talented millitary officer died by su**ide because her superior harassed her. What happened to the perpetrator? They first tried to hide it and then left him with no serious reprecussions.
And how is his personal life related to his acting? He is a good actor deserving of good roles.

This show wasn't meant for him but he really pulled it up.
