so basically after Xiao Fan got kicked out after the new bf came, he went back to Lu Xing's house and got a job • He worked there for two years then after that his mother came to where he's staying but obviously he doesn't have his own place and all so he went to Lu Xing for help or whatever
• that's when we find out that it's been two years since he got kicked out and got a job and that Lu Xing is the one who helped him get a job , because he knows that Xiao Fan is too timid and wanted him to be more independent
• We also find out that the reason why Lu Xing kicked Xiao Fan out wasn't because he doesn't love him or that he wants to get together with that other guy but because he's afraid that his mother would hurt Xiao Fan if she ever found out about their relationship
• So Lu Xing started to buy out his mother's shares in her company so that can he be more financially independent and that his mother couldn't control his life or do whatever she wanted to him because she has a financial advantage over him
• Buying out the shares in his mother's name took two years to do
• On Xiao Fan's birthday Lu Xing invited him out but XF said he's busy so LX went back to his house with cake and now they're back to together after two years
