Then maybe the added scenes are make up for the missing character from a novel to make both couples main as they promote in the trailer - i don't think they will be cut out completelly and only the result will be showed. I expected this to happen in these last episodes and it didn't, nor does it look like they inted to do so in the future, so of course if you speak about some scenes from the novel, i expect they will be cut out , but not only the second's pair reunion. Even if the thought of GTSWL story as cliche, they dont really treat it as such in the show.
I think people are more interested in seeing his pregnancy journey (as written in extra chapters of the novel)…
well, depends on what you think the journey is - the tests is wild, the discussion with the sister if it happens before the child is born is wild and part of the journey and all tof these were already in the trailer, so unless they mess with that at least those scenes will be showed.

Even if they did change three years to zero, two or five, the overall plan is not gonna change just because added scene or scenes or deepening the understanding of the rel. between the two characters.
