Also, I would make a differentiation to your AI reference. Even in a group of BL lovers, you will statistically find sick people who cannot help themselves. It is difficult (...for me, it should be generally, though...) to judge someone for doing something, even if it is against the rights of other people, if they themselves are obviously not well.

The biggest issue here remains the problem of such people posting it publicly. If they didn't, we wouldn't know. It is still an issue because they are not doing good for their own lives, but the damage is much more controllable and much less than the way it is now.

Hm. Fair. But not everyone who watches or likes BL or bromance is an 11-year-old, hormone-crazed, self-reflection-lacking douchebag. Also, not everything that is sexualized must be bad, and everything has the potential to be sexualized, romanticized, horrorized, dramatized, or gore-ified. That’s simply how imagining, projecting or fantasizing works.

I don’t think everyone sexualizes bromances. Some people just don’t. But “bromance” literally refers to a close, affectionate connection between men, it literally has “romance” in the word, so I don’t think it’s that strange if some people interpret or fantasize about that connection in a more romantic or sexual way. I feel like it can stem from people’s need for intimacy and for a relationship, that is already working, to become even closer.

That is not true though. It was obviously suggested in the drama Pi O would be absolutely friends with Jeongyo, but he subconsciously knew his mother and background would be an issue, esp. with another pianist, so he did not dare to.
