you may want to check out Flower of Evil (starring the different actor who will do Arthdal season 2) first, it's easier to get into, and then check Arthdal Chronicles (SJK drama) after, then you can wait for a few months til 2023 when season 2 airs. An additional trivia about Flower of Evil is that the female lead worked with SJK in his first drama where he is the main lead, The Innocent Man from 2012 (makjang melodrama, there are some plotholes but the acting of the 3 leads are really great). I also suggest historical dramas if you want to search for more kdramas. For me: Queen Seon Deok, Six Flying Dragons, Jumong, Tree with Deep Roots, Painter of the Wind, Princess Man, and Hwang Jini are really great historical dramas. Most of them are older than 10 years though, might not suit your taste. If you want a newer historical drama, you can try Red Sleeve and the recently concluded Under the Queen's Umbrella.
she didn't bring her car. we saw her walking back home. we just assumed she rode a taxi or public transport.
then she must have used public transport, maybe the stop was quite away from the warehouse, or she might have dropped from her taxi in a place she wasn't heard. or even if she was heard, male lead and sister wouldn't just assume it was her, they could have assumed it's someone else and thus didn't bother looking. when she was walking home, i didn't think she walked home directly from where her husband was. maybe she dropped from the bus/taxi at a stop and just walked the rest of her way.
I like that drama for its smart female characters. I'm also a big fan of the writers, maybe that's why I'm a bit…
My experience was I watched Queen Seon Deok before Empress Ki (actually Empress Ki didn't exist yet when I watched Queen Seon Deok). also the political conversations between the two women is also what helped me be more hooked with this show. Like I said before, I'm a fan of their writers (they also did Arthdal Chronicles, Six Flying Dragons, Tree with Deep Roots). I do love Empress Ki as well, but I see her as a grayer and more vengeful version of Dongyi. That being said, I'm a bigger fan of Ha Ji Won than the female leads of Queen Seon Deok simply because of the fact that I've seen her in more sageuks I love.
I dunno. You're making me feel like I really need to watch Queen Seondeok again. Though I liked it a LOT for a…
I like that drama for its smart female characters. I'm also a big fan of the writers, maybe that's why I'm a bit biased about the ratings. I know it was extended, but the last 10 episodes did show how Queen Seon Deok ruled as a queen, after all the title says she is a queen.
They're now making more dramas about married couples that either doesn't involve cheating or the couple is not marriage for contract or parents' sake. I do not know all the dramas but based on what I know, this is one kdrama that first brought out that dramas about married couples can be exciting (without it having to be a marriage by agreement/parents involved marriage/cheating on the side).
this is my first Korean drama, and I am loving it!i do not know or recognize a single actor or actress in this…
You can also check out Arthdal Chronicles, the male lead actor is the same as this one. He is also in the first season, he was really amazing in this one. (I think he showed his best acting here). It requires you to pay attention to the first few episodes (like this one), but it’s also a payoff to watch the latter episodes. I’m just gonna mention that he plays two characters here and the second character first appears in episode 6. They also just announced a second season, but a different male actor will play his character. Watch Flower of Evil for that actor’s acting. This Flower of Evil drama is also one of the best during the last 3 years.
What a payoff episode 8 was. I didnt understand what was going on the first few episodes, but when I decided to pay attention to watch, it started becoming amazing.
really dislike the stars leaderboard in mydramalist. i want to keep moon chae won on that list but I don't have so much money left to give her enough flowers. I can't afford the 1000 flowers per week. before she leaves the top 100 (I still wish she wouldn't, hoping someone else who's a fan can also give her some), I would like to mention that she was able to reach top 29 (her highest rank) and that this week she is top 39.
