C-ent is unpredictable these days and it’s not just this director’s drama alone that didn’t perform very well this summer. At this rate we will have to conclude most of the directors in the c-ent is bad. Let’s wish this team gets good editing team and enough funding to create a masterpiece. CZY worked hard and let’s send more positive vibes about this drama.

I don’t think this series is going to be a flop. Let’s at least wait till a teaser or trailer to consider if this is going to be a success or failure. Let’s hope for the best …

Zheyuan can create amazing chemistry with all his FLs. Shen yue (bickering-comedic) , Rosi Zhao (deep understanding love) , Liang Jie (soul mate) , Li Qin (life or death power CP) and even with Wu Jinyan ( totally unexpected) . So I am not at all worried about the chemistry between Yuan and Churan. As long as prod team does their job well , Yuan will be okay 👍

🥹. At least plot is getting interesting these days… better than my expectations…

Only thing this prod team worries me is there are so many CGI effects needed here.. I am not sure if the director can pull it off.. they really need a good editing team!!

Okay read the thread… got it… but there are so many indoor scenes… we only have glimpses of few outdoor… the first month was full of ML and FL filming…SML joined very late. Unless there is a leaked script which proves SML screen time with FL, we don’t need to worry much. Moreover CZY spent more than 12 hrs everyday actually filming on this set. I am hopeful.

Wish they start chasing dreams after royal betrothal…. Royal betrothal is getting positive reviews… which is really good for CS

I love that this drama is a more realistic portrayal of chinese period era. Especially after ep 3, the cinematography is very good. And again and again I will say I am so drawn to every scene with Chen Zheyuan in. Pretty sure, the director had lots of fun capturing the powerful acting of CZY with all that close ups.
