1. Wei's would have won the battle 14 years ago.

4. WS brother would have been the emperor married to Lady Yu and WS would have a fun and loving childhood and romantic life with his wife (whoever that be)

But instead-

1. Wei lost terribly 14 yrs ago
2. Wei males were killed and WS had a terrible childhood
3. WS married QX as political alliance although he hated every bit of it.
4. QX helped WS for canal
5. Their relationship is slow but budding with trust and slowly love.
6. Lady Yu is poisoning her own husband and will be widow soon.

QX truly has a empress fate. I don't see how Lady Yu's prophecy of having an empress fate falls thru - Fiance got killed, husband gonna die.
