The way they two people reacted to the situations is extreme, but the situation was NXG did something apparently wrong.

The proof for zx wanting to be with her is his confrontation in ep 30. What more do you need? He just expected her to never fall out of like for him. Selfish Ik.

This is where the novel comes in..,. If you’ve read at least the first part, I think(haven’t bothered to read about JerkXu’s popularity), they’ve explained his charm pretty decently…. Most of the mainland audience at this point would have read the novel or heard the story so they just skimmed over that part in favour of more boring stuff

I think the director tried to show that ZX is a genuinely good man with everyone other than NXG and that’s why they shouldn’t be together…. Like how considerate he was with Chris bout her feelings while he did a character assassination after NXG’s confession….

Another curious point is that both ZX and LYS believed she had wronged them but still wanted to be with her (doesn’t matter the means they go about it, but it’s the same thing in essence)…. What is the writer trying to say here? Beautiful and rich women always get misunderstood and the burden of proof also rests on them? NXG had to practically prove she was right or not the one to blame in every situation. Whereas anyone else in her position would be believable
