She has so much unnecessary hate toward Neen, but the funniest part is how easily Neen baits her every single time. 🤣
Neen only has to say one little thing, and she instantly loses her composure, gets angry, and ends up exposing herself. She falls for it every single time. 😭
It’s honestly one of the funniest running gags in the series for me.
I totally agree with you, I had expected more from FreenBecky, especially after The loyal pin which totally blowed…
I actually agree with you. I think my expectations for Freen and Becky were simply very high, especially after The Loyal Pin. It’s been about two years since we last saw them together in a series, so I was really expecting something special.
Personally, the elements I was looking forward to the most were Air and Fire. So far, Earth has been my favorite, although I also really enjoyed Water.
I don’t think Air is a bad series at all. I’m still enjoying it, and there are still two episodes left to wrap everything up.
For me, the issue isn’t Freen and Becky. Their chemistry is still as strong as ever. I think the writing and some directing choices could have made better use of their partnership and created even more tension, emotion, and impact in certain scenes. I hope the final two episodes deliver a conclusion that lives up to their potential.
Why would it be the last project ? They have cranium and I hope others to come do you have any information regarding…
You’re right, there’s no confirmation that this will be their last project together. It’s more of a concern from me as a fan because we simply don’t know what the future holds for them.
As for Cranium, I really hope the project will happen one day, even though the rights are still with Idol Factory. For now, I’d rather wait for official news instead of making assumptions.
I truly hope Freen and Becky will have many more projects together in the future.
I still feel like this season is a huge missed opportunity considering how much potential it had, especially if this ends up being Freen and Becky’s last project together.
I still have some hope for the final two episodes because there is still time to improve certain things. However, I truly believe Episodes 4 and 5 could have been used more effectively to further develop Grace’s story, Hela’s story, and other important parts of the plot instead of pushing so much content toward the ending.
Episode 6 was better in my opinion, but some details still frustrated me. For example, the boat scene where the princess tries to save Lom could have been much more impactful with stronger execution. It may seem like a small detail, but those small details are often what make scenes truly memorable.
It is also unfortunate that some of the action sequences were not explored more. A few additional hand-to-hand combat scenes could have made the tension feel stronger and shown more of the physical impact that these events had on the characters.
That is probably my biggest frustration with this series: there are so many great ideas, an incredible chemistry between Freen and Becky, and a very interesting world, yet many moments feel like they are not being used to their full potential.
I genuinely hope the final two episodes deliver a satisfying conclusion because despite my criticisms, I still believe this story can end on a very strong note.
really loved this series, its characters, its time-loop concept, and especially Han-gyeol’s development. But I am extremely frustrated by the ending.
My problem is not just that the ending is open-ended. My problem is that Han-gyeol’s character arc feels unfinished.
Throughout the entire series, we watch him make mistakes, regret his choices, struggle to be honest about his feelings, and fail to move forward. We watch him realize what he lost and how important Yeji truly was to him. The entire story seemed to be building toward one thing: the moment when he would finally change.
And just when that moment arrives, the story ends.
Yes, I am frustrated that Han-gyeol and Yeji do not officially end up together. After all that development, all those loops, all those regrets, I wanted to see Han-gyeol finally accept his feelings and build a real relationship with her.
The final scene tells us that in the 33rd loop, he will love Yeji from the very beginning. But that’s exactly what I wanted to see.
I wanted to see Han-gyeol become the one who takes the first step. I wanted to watch him pursue her. I wanted to see him put in the effort to win her heart instead of waiting for her to come to him like in the previous loops. I wanted to see the complete opposite of everything we had seen before.
We are finally shown a Han-gyeol who is ready to change, but we never actually get to see that change happen.
What frustrates me even more is that we never get the reward for all that development. We never see Han-gyeol escape the loop. We never see his life after high school. We don’t even know what kind of future he wants for himself.
Kim Ji-won received a complete conclusion. We understand her dream, her growth, her freedom, and her future. We get to see her reach her goal. But for Han-gyeol, the main character, the story stops right before the finish line.
I wanted to see the entire final loop. I wanted to see Han-gyeol and Yeji fall in love under completely different circumstances. I wanted to see their dates, their relationship, their arguments, their reconciliation, and their love grow naturally.
I also wanted to see what happens after high school. I wanted to watch them enter university, discover their goals, build their futures, and pursue their dreams. I wanted to see how their relationship evolves over time.
And honestly, I would have loved to see them years later, after university, after finally escaping the loop for good. To see them as adults, successful and happy. To see them reunite with Kim Ji-won and the other characters and show where everyone ended up in life.
To me, that would have been the true ending of the story.
That’s why this ending frustrates me so much. Because I loved this series. Because I cared about these characters. Because I wanted to see Han-gyeol succeed.
I didn’t need the story to tell me that he was finally going to love Yeji.
I needed to see it.
And that’s why it feels like this story is missing an entire final arc.
Since the beginning, we’ve been surviving on looks, smiles, tension, and a few sweet moments, but we still haven’t really eaten. Meanwhile, the other couples have already had their moments.
We’re not asking for much: just a little happiness for Belle and Earn before the end. 🙏
It’s not because you don’t enjoy a series that it’s automatically bad, just like enjoying a series doesn’t automatically make it good.
I actually agree that The Air could have done more with the action and the sense of danger. Personally, I would have liked the antagonists to feel more threatening and for the tension to be stronger in some episodes.
That being said, I think it’s still too early to say they completely “missed the mark.” We’re only at episode 5 and there are still 3 episodes left. The writers still have time to increase the stakes and pay off some of the things they’ve been building.
If, by the end of the series, those elements are still missing, then sure, it would be fair to say they didn’t fully use the story’s potential. But personally, I’d rather judge the whole story once it’s finished instead of deciding that after only five episodes.
After reading a lot of comments about The Air, I honestly feel like I’m watching a different show from some…
Personally, I really enjoy The Air and I don’t find it boring at all. I like the relationship between Lom and Blue, their gradual development, and the quieter moments we’ve had in the recent episodes.
However, I sometimes feel that the antagonists lack a bit of tension. Not necessarily more action, but a stronger sense of danger.
For example, I would have liked to see Lom face more consequences as a bodyguard. Even a minor injury or a more difficult confrontation before the island arc could have reinforced the idea that the antagonists are a real threat.
I also would have liked to see more of the psychological impact this situation has on Blue. Being hunted and constantly in danger should leave a mark, and it could have added even more tension to the story.
This doesn’t mean the series is bad at all. On the contrary, I genuinely enjoy The Air, but I think that with a little more tension surrounding the antagonists, some scenes would have had an even greater impact.
After reading a lot of comments about The Air, I honestly feel like I’m watching a different show from some people.
Is the series perfect? No. I do think the writers could spend more time developing Helen and Grace. I’d love to learn more about Helen’s past, why she was sentenced to death, what happened before her surgery, and what led Grace to seek power. More villain development would definitely strengthen the story.
However, I strongly disagree with people saying the story is boring, weak, or that Lom and Blue’s relationship comes out of nowhere.
For the past several episodes, we’ve watched their trust grow naturally. We’ve seen them spend time together, open up to each other, protect each other, and slowly become emotionally closer. That’s development.
I also don’t understand the criticism of Lom’s personality. Of course she’s different here. She’s not with her family or cousins like she was in the other stories. She’s acting as a bodyguard responsible for protecting a princess, so it makes sense that she’s more serious, professional, and reserved.
On top of that, Lom constantly puts limits on herself. She doesn’t want to cross boundaries because she sees herself as Blue’s protector first. She even struggles with her own feelings because she believes she has no right to love the princess and that someone like her doesn’t deserve that kind of happiness. That’s one of the reasons she hesitates so much throughout the story.
And yet, if you pay attention, we can already see glimpses of the real Lom. In recent episodes, especially during the lighter and more playful moments with Blue, her true personality starts to come out little by little. As their relationship grows, she becomes more comfortable being herself around Blue. That’s character development, not inconsistency.
Another thing I don’t understand is why some viewers seem to expect constant action or intimate scenes every episode. Romance can be built through conversations, trust, shared experiences, and emotional moments. Not every relationship needs to develop through physical intimacy.
Personally, I’ve enjoyed every episode so far, and I feel that each one has built naturally on the previous one. The Air may not be perfect, but I think some of the criticism is exaggerated and doesn’t reflect what the series is actually showing.
I am sorry but the story is not working for me. I mean Freen and Becky are really great, no doubt there. The problem…
I respectfully disagree with your comparison to Only You.
The comparison itself is fair because both stories are built around a bodyguard protecting someone important. The difference is that in Only You, the bodyguard is protecting an idol, while in The Air, Lom is protecting a princess.
What I don’t agree with is the claim that The Air doesn’t develop its romance properly. Only You spent more time showing the characters’ past and history together, that’s true. But saying that Lom and Blue fall for each other without development is simply not true.
The last few episodes have focused heavily on their growing trust, their conversations, their shared experiences, and the emotional connection they are building. We are literally watching their feelings develop step by step.
As for Lom’s personality, I don’t understand the criticism. Of course she acts differently here than in the other elements. She is not with her family or friends; she is protecting a princess. It makes sense for her to be more serious, professional, and reserved.
I do agree that the series could spend more time developing Helen and Grace’s backstories. In episodes that are over an hour long, I think they could have dedicated more time to showing Helen’s past, what she looked like before her surgery, how she ended up on death row, and how she met Grace. I would also like to see more of Grace’s motivations and why she decided to pursue power in the first place.
On that point, I agree with the criticism. More development for the villains would make the story even stronger. However, we still have several episodes left, so perhaps the writers are saving those revelations for later. We simply don’t know yet.
Miss Baek was a beautiful and heartbreaking movie. The relationship between Miss Baek and Ji-eun was the highlight for me, and I loved every scene they shared together.
My only small complaint is the ending. I wish we had 20–30 more minutes to see them finally live a peaceful life together. Not more drama, just simple moments: talking, laughing, healing, and enjoying life after everything they went through.
The ending was still touching, but I wanted more happy moments between them because their bond was the heart of the movie.🩷
Chapters Ep. 1–6 was honestly pure chaos… but the GOOD kind of chaos. 😭🔥
Every storyline felt important and well-written. Belle & Eum, Jane & Nano, Ami & Sophie, Naline & Mink… everyone had their own emotional moments and struggles, and somehow everything stayed connected perfectly.
The directing and pacing were really impressive. Nothing felt random, every episode kept building tension little by little until Episode 6 exploded completely. The party scenes especially were insane. 😭
Also huge respect to the director and writers for giving depth to every character instead of focusing on only one couple. You can really feel the care put into the story and character development.
These first 6 episodes were genuinely high quality, emotional, chaotic, and addictive from beginning to end. Some drama directors seriously need to take notes on how to balance multiple storylines this well.
And also, the OST is finally out too! 🔥 Everyone should go stream the Chapters/Shades OST and give it some love because the music really adds so much emotion to the series.
Now I’m already waiting for the next 6 episodes because there’s NO way I can stop after that Episode 6 ending. 😭
At the same time, I’m also a little sad because Saturdays won’t feel the same anymore while waiting for Part 2. 😭 Now there’ll only be the air 4 élément
… but no more Shades every Saturday for now. That honestly hurts.
WAIT… am I the only one who noticed that the glasses girl literally started ALL the chaos at the party 😡She’s the one who:took the picture of Amy and the juniorstarted the “who do you like in this room?” gamewitnessed Belle and NalineAND filmed them tooShe had like 5 minutes of screentime and still managed to destroy EVERYONE’S relationships.
She has so much unnecessary hate toward Neen, but the funniest part is how easily Neen baits her every single time. 🤣
Neen only has to say one little thing, and she instantly loses her composure, gets angry, and ends up exposing herself. She falls for it every single time. 😭
