Omg yes, you nailed it! Vampires without blood drinking and that constant struggle just feel watered down, it totally kills the danger and dark romance that makes them so fascinating. I also hate when they turn it into a romcom, like… let the genre be dark! And yesss, Thai vampires should absolutely embrace Thai mansions and history instead of defaulting to European gothic vibes. It would give the story so much more originality and depth. I’d LOVE to finally see a vampire BL that isn’t afraid to lean fully into the danger + eroticism + romance combo.
