FL's POV, with everything told from her perspective, obviously means the FL gets more screentime and character importance than ML in most c-dramas. I don't know what kind of dramas you've been watching 😭 Even in your watchlist, most of them are women-centered like LBFAD, LOFG, and WDBTD told from FL's POV, even though both leads are important, Prisoner of Beauty is also like that. Only Fate Choose You and GOTD are male-centric dramas.

It’s not true that we don’t get women-centered stories often. There are more female centered than male centered in c-dramas. Even in both leads centered dramas, it’s mostly on FL’s POV. Don’t disappoint and complain it later when the drama becomes focused more on ML character in the later arcs, it’s not the men take a back seat drama actually. You can’t compare this with dramas you mentioned like Minglan or ADOS.

I kind of agree with some of your points. New's very pretty face and good chemistry are what keep me hooked. It's also my first time watching them. Sometimes we just need something that keeps us entertained, it doesn't always have to be groundbreaking. That said, I do hope they can get a better-written series next time.
It must be the result of so many years of working together as a ship. The main couple's chemistry just hits different. The ending scene proved it. Not everyone can achieve this level of effortless chemistry, it's truly top-tier. And New looks so beautiful there, omg 🥹✨

"Childhood friends/sweethearts meet again as adults and fall in love" trope is very much used trope. Even the currently airing drama "my youth" also has that trope. Only different concept here is male lead twins. In k-dramas, female lead twins dramas are more common. I wonder if this drama will be more on rom-com or mystery melo romance? I love this pairing though. I will check it out.
