Imo, romance as a subplot is sufficient for such a long show. However, if there is no romantic element at all, viewers might find it boring due to the lack of emotional depth.

No drama will truly hook you unless you have a prior understanding of its fictional world. That initial familiarity is what draws you in and keeps you engaged. After that, it all depends on the storyline how well it unfolds and sustains your interest. But if you go in without any grasp of the concept, it might not resonate with you at all, making it feel like it's just not your cup of tea.

How could that be a negative comment? I simply pointed out spammers blindly promoting the show, which is evident to everyone, including you, right? I haven’t said anything negative about the show, not even once. Yet, you still chose to use those words.

Yeah, they say, "In reality, fantasy is good, but in fantasy, reality won’t work." If you do that, viewers actually shut off their brains while watching fantasy. So, if you insert too much realism into it, it ends up making the viewer feel fooled.
With that said This show might attract large audience in good way.
