You are welcome! YAMG is a good watch before bedtime because it’s pretty chill (relatively speaking) and definitely can be watched before bedtime. But, if you like shorter dramas, have you watched When I Fly Towards You? It’s 24 episodes of about 25-30 minutes each so it qualifies as short in C-drama land 😁
guys is Seasone 4 good this is my frist time watching like single inferno should I watch it or it’s a waste…
Definitely skip Season 4. I’d watch seasons 1-3. Season 2 is probably the most important one in the show lore — Dex was a contestant on the show (and became a host for later seasons) and it also featured Shin Seul-ki who has become an actress now & has won multiple awards (not Oscar-type awards but still). Additionally, season 2 probably has the most K-drama-like ending.
People using cultural differences to explain Mina Sue's antcis baffle me, it has nothing to do with culture and…
Very true! People like her exist in every country/culture (even on this show, prior “villains” were foreign-raised). And we wouldn’t make a big deal about being indecisive or needing to take time to get to know people, but Mina Sue is going about it all wrong and, additionally, throwing others under the bus 🚌

Haha… I guess for girls YY worked better than movie lead :)
YAMG is excellent if you have correct expectations going in. It’s not super serious by any means but it’s more adult than Love O2O. The leads are out of college and have been working for awhile (late 20s? don’t remember). But I really like the relationship between the leads — there are no endless misunderstandings. Once they decide to be together, things are handled in adult manner without anything crazy. There’s also an important topic of pursuing your dreams versus chasing money. I love space-related movies/shows, so it was also cool to see that side. Content wise, I’d say first half was mostly about the video game and then the rest is more relationship and work focused (on both ML & FL side). Video game scenes are also way better done than in Love O2O series.
TL;DR version — YAMG isn’t my 10/10 drama but I’ve watched it multiple times. It’s very enjoyable because of the leads and the script that’s more grounded and doesn’t have tired/annoying tropes.

I honestly don’t remember much about the drama version but you have good points. I was very surprised to learn the series was a huge hit in China — maybe it has to do with domestic audience being fans of the game featured in the show. I’m a fan of YY, but I tend to forget he was Love O2O. “You Are My Glory” is a much better drama for me personally (same author & also about a game available only in China at that time) and, hey, unlike the Love O2O series actress, Dilraba isn’t cancelled 😬😳
Lol there's a reason people hate her though and not everything is about the boys. Maybe watch the show well, not…
Hosts are as tired of taking about Mina Sue as we all are of watching her antics. Da Hee couldn’t even say anything at one point and chose to be silent instead of blasting Mina Sue.
The only problem is that she be given sreentime doing what? You have to be controversial like Mina Sue or have…
The best method do get screen time while NOT being controversial/indecisive is to pair up with somone early and then create romantic moments on the island (there are plenty of very beautiful looking locations there). I can’t speak for everyone, but many people would surely enjoy 5-10 minutes of a couple being romantic & getting to know each other instead of someone having boring conversations or interviews about their inner turmoil or inability to settle on one person.
That's understandable, but the thing is (with Mina Sue at least), she's being so disrespectful to the people around…
The issue is that some of things she had told the guys are not true. I also like to give contestants benefit of a doubt because I’m aware of how these shows get made/edited, but Mina Sue surely made some mistakes which were her own doing. Producers didn’t use an AI deepfake for campfire scenes, for example 😒
man i really keep stopping myself from commenting about mina but she is ... so toxic like what's with the victim…
All we can hope is that Mina Sue somehow does a complete turnaround, picks someone in Episode 8, and we won’t have so much screen time dedicated to her 😩
Just rewatched this with some friends. I completely forgot this drama featured some serious star power in supporting roles: Li Xian, Seven Tan, Janice Wu (just to name the most obvious people).
i like this better than the series version. the FL characterization feel more make sanse as a gamer girl, feel…
I also like this better than the drama version. It’s very fast paced, but I felt that drama version was a bit boring. And I’m saying this as a person who loves this author’s works and enjoys slow-burn dramas overall.
Since Mina Sue won Miss Earth, all men on the planet are hers 🤣🤣🤣
Apparently, Mina Sue’s friend claimed in a comment on IG that she was just playing a role assigned by producers. But I think that may not have been a literal meaning — more of like “producers made her edit that way” or something. Because I find it hard to imagine ANYONE would agree to do the things she’s been doing — it doesn’t take a genius to realize the fans would hate that and it’d ruin your brand.
mina sue and subeen should end up together🚩❤️🚩. Both of them are basically playing with other's emotions😂.
It’ll be hilarious if Su Been won’t be picked by Mina Sue after everything he had done. It honestly feels like he caved in too quickly — Mina Sue now has him back and still has other guys she’s pursuing.
Are there actually people defending her? I’m avoiding social media to prevent spoilers but don’t think this…
It’s possible those accounts are just people who love to stir up trouble for no reason, just to entertain themselves. Like the people who pretend to be fans of Person A who talk down Person B just to start a fight between fandoms.
my feelings towards Mina Sue is same as her feelings towards the men. it ebbs and flows, and keeps changing 😭…
I wish all contestants well and don’t want anyone to be ostracized, but Mina Sue would need to have a huge redemption arc in episodes 8-12 in order for her reputation to be restored. Maybe if she quickly picks a guy who isn’t connected to anyone else then we all could live happily ever after.
Min Su was entertaining AT FIRST but now she is kinda draining..... just me?
That’s pretty much everyone at this point. Not being able to pick between multiple people is totally normal, but she has done & said some really shady stuff and it can’t be blamed solely on the villain’s edit.
