I think they had roughly three stages: (1) fake dating; (2) casual dating [pursuit]; (3) serious dating with marriage as the goal.

The leads are very supportive of each other in a nice way :)

Some people call this drama slowburn but it’s not really. It’s generally chill & relaxing (no huge up/down emotional swings) but there’s always something going on. A good slowburn example would be “Love Me, Love My Voice” which was also stress-free and was mostly about delicious food and singing/voiceovers.

Also, to correct the timeline, the leads meet about a year after his accident. Accident happened in 2011 and we celebrated 2013 about halfway through the drama.

I hope they become a couple or, at least, get nice romantic partners. Yin Jie is so nice 😊

No worries :) Maybe the people who read the novel understand 2ML but we are still not sure why he’s acting like that. He kind of likes her but also resents her for being rich. So he feels insecure about his modest upbringing. He’s all in his head and it doesn’t help that SnakeRong is around to muddy up the waters.

The banter between the leads is also great. Dialogue like that is what elevates a drama above run-of-the-mill average drama written by AI 🤖 (well, probably not by AI… AI dramas might be less draggy and more logical, lol).

Let’s be honest, they’ve been a couple since episode 10 or so 😁

FL’s mom family is probably not rich. Seems both of FL’s parents were about middle-class level before their business did well. The dad definitely wasn’t wealthy because the mistress didn’t marry him, lol
